We officially have a 2027 thread going. Gavin Walter is a 6'5" guard and we are his first offer.

Gavin Walter was offered by Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota State at Moorhead this summer after we offered him.

We have another offer out to Max Jones out of West Allis, Wisconsin. He's a 6'4" guard, and I really like his game. He has good skills to score inside but a quick release to hit shots outside as well. He also looks like he already has very good size and could fill out a little more. He also has offers from Toledo, and Green Bay among a few others. I attached his sophomore highlights below:

Looks like we had Will Powers in for a visit. He's a guard out of St. Louis and man is he a skilled offensive player. He looks like he's 12 but can do just about anything on the court. Really impressive stuff.

We had Zaihir "Zeak" Jones in for an unofficial visit a few weeks ago. He's a 6'3" guard out of Milwaukee. He's not the most athletic guard I've ever seen but he seems very skilled on the offensive end inside and out.

Let's hope he has the will power to commit to us early. Sorry, couldn't resist.

We have our first commitment. Gavin Walter committed today out of Champlin Park, Minnesota. He's listed as a 6'4" G and appears to be a very strong shooter and facilitator. He does not have overwhelming athleticism but does have good size at the guard spot and a great looking quick release.

                    That tape looks good!

Great size, pure stroke, smooth athleticism, good passer.

Looks like a Schweiger type player. Not a bad pickup!

How tall is Will Powers? What other offers does he have?

                        Not Schweiger, more Weisbrod

I got Heise vibes. Or Ethan Brown who committed to Illinois over us. Good size at the guard spot, though. Could fit that 1, 2, or 3 for us. Very skilled.

Will Powers is also 6'4". Powers also has an offer from Austin Peay. Both of these guys feel like Ethan Brown did to me last year. Powers in particular is going to get some high major offers at some point.

Weisbrod shoots set 3s. Offensively, that's about it. Walter is a move fluid mover. I can see a bit of Heise in him too.

I'm not sure you are watching enough of what Max actually does on the offensive end. He definitely shoots more than just catch and shoot 3s, and is a very good distributor running the offense. Schweiger is also 3-4 inches taller that this kid, so very difficult for them to have comparable games.
