Finally something we can watch now that we're getting to conference play - should be on ESPN+. Arizona State has some dawgs, but we should still win this one handily. Will be interesting to see if we can keep performing at the level we have been lately on a big road trip.

Compare the rosters here. Should be good matchups at 133, 149, and 165. Opportunities for Anderson and Runyon to make some noise.

Excellent meet! Found it even more enjoyable when I muted those broadcasters.

I agree, broadcast was pretty bad.

No one is asking for this, but figured I'd give my thoughts on the dual lol

125: Anderson put last year's national champ in a couple dangerous spots that ultimately didn't result in anything, but still good to see. Kinda thought Schwab possibly screwed it up for Anderson. Right after Anderson was unable to finish a takedown, but had Figueroa in a tough spot, Schwab challenged a call that would have saved Anderson two points and made it 8-3 instead of 10-3. Figueroa is coming off injury and looked like he was getting tired, and I felt like if Anderson had been able to keep pushing, he'd have had a better shot at scoring some points vs trying to save two points when he was already down with a 5-minute review to let Figueroa catch his breath. I don't know, maybe it wouldn't have mattered, but maybe my only complaint about Schwab is he sometimes gets challenge-happy when he doesn't need to.

133: Felt like a big win at the time, since this was a toss up and Anderson didn't get the upset. Was this the one where ASU was making it really tough for Farber to finish, and on Farber's late takedown to win, you could see he moved a lot quicker to get the other leg and didn't give ASU the chance to scramble to a stalemate like his previous couple takedown attempts? I can't remember but I think it was. Nice adjustment by Farber.

141: Started out and felt like this could be one of those Happel matches but he eventually cruised.

149: Great pin for Realbuto after putting himself in a 7-0 hole.

157: Nice easy win for Downey.

165: Felt like Jack got beat pretty soundly. Gave up almost 2 minutes of riding time in the first period and never really threatened.

174: Simma physically exhausted and mentally broke his opponent.

184: When I saw ASU's last name was Valencia, I kind of wondered if this would be one that is closer than I hoped. Valencia did get a nice takedown, but Keck still put the kids to bed pretty easily after that.

197: Another solid bonus point win.

285: Schultz is just too big and too skilled for Runyon, who looked like he weighed 60 pounds less than Schultz. Schultz was kind of letting Runyon touch him and initiate action just to flatten him down to the mat, circle around, and get the takedown.

Great road effort by the panthers. Some of the most bland uninformed announcers ive ever heard. The gal was wrong on numerous things she said.

ASU gassed out at almost every weight. Good to get back to Iowa with a win.

That's about all I have. Got some good outdoor time the day after the dual. Now get locked in for Friday night.
