    I'm not exactly sure why everyone is *****ing about CF growing and expanding. In a college town, a restaurant like BWW will do outstanding. Their food isn't the world's greatest, but you better believe I like it. So do another 12,000 college students or recent graduates who have been begging for one for years.

    BWW has Sunday Ticket, MLB League Pass, and every other season long television subscription you can get. They always support local sports, and they will definitely do the same with UNI.

    The food is pretty cheap. They have wing specials. They have drink specials. They have tons of televisions. They have trivia towers that you can compete with your friends on. There really isn't anything to NOT like.

    Also, who cares what restaurant is coming in town. I am from Omaha and we have 1,000,000 different restaurants. Any of them would be a great addition to Cedar Falls. There really isn't a whole lot of variety in CF when you compare it to other towns, especially other D1 college towns.

    I don't know about you guys, but I get really sick of eating at Becks or Applebee's for every single meal. Adding more and more restaurants is a great thing for the school, families, and the town in general.

      I also enjoy a local mom n pop style place, but sometimes the chain is a better option.

      If I want BBQ around here, to me, the best meat is Zippy's. But if you're going out with a group, that doesn't work very well. So we normally go to Famous Dave's where they have good meat, good sauces, and good service.

          I guess, if nothing else, it's disappointing that nobody local really serves the market that BWW serves. They don't do anything special or unique, really.

          It isn't *****ing about CF expanding -- it's *****ing about CF not having one-of-a-kind places that help make CF unique and special.

            Wow. I can't believe how many people are worked up over this.
            If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

              CF doesn't exactly have the Philly cheesesteak, or New York Cheesecake. Unless you can package up high winds and flood waters, we don't exactly have a signature dish. We have Becks. We are the only place in the country that has that. Have you ever been to a city of moderate size that hasn't had chains or restaurants that aren't "unique"?

              I think you are all completely over-analyzing this. It is a restauarant. No one complained when they opened a THIRD Beck's in the area. I don't see what the big deal is with bringing in the only BWW within 60 miles.

                I really thought that when I read this thread it was going to be filled with excitement. Another great place to watch our Panthers. Awesome sports atmosphere, good wings, lots of specials, tons of tvs.

                Would you rather leave Bonanza everyone? I stopped going there when one of my co-workers told me she was asked out by one of the managers. He was in his early 30's.

                            I haven't presented anything as fact in this thread. You're going to need to take care to apply the correct cookie-cutter response to my posts, otherwise you look silly.
