The one thing stuck out for me for South Dakota State today was their kicker Chase Vinatieri and his 57 yard field goal. He is the nephew of the NFL kicker Adam Vinatieri. SDSU is Adam Vinatieri's alma mater.

What a great game! The speakers were noticebly louder and I liked it. And damn that defense was great, I thought for sure we were going to get Farley-ed in the 4th quarter, but we did enough to get it done. I noticed we initially got the run going by getting the short passes first. We need this momentum for the rest of the season.

If you don’t see the problems with Farley then add me to ignore list.Originally posted by kochrab View Post
Sorry he couldn't perform for you. It's unfortunate they won so you don't have anything to complain about.
For the the past decade he castrates the offense unnecessarily time after time.
Sure it worked out tonight but it hasn’t consistently for about 10 years. Uni will only be allowed to win by defense as long as Farley is in charge.
Several drives in second half Dunne never got a chance to help the team with his arm. #4 is elite and I am not sure he even touched the ball in 2nd half.
Uni was clearly better and IMO should have won going away. Came down to the wire because the offense is not allowed to dominate.
The frustration from from the crowd was noticeable in 2nd half.

Oh suck an egg, nerd. Just beat the number 2 team in the country, the administration is paying attention the the complaints and fixing them, little by little, and the marching band playing the Superman theme song almost made me tear up. Sorry the wind ruined your tailgate, sorry UNI had a big win, and sorry you have to see so many people be excited.Originally posted by run&blade View Post

Just got done watching another #2 go down today. Great win. Not the same team as the beginning of the season. Defense has really come around. And I thank the UNI Sports Information Department for fixing a little thing. Almost had the big one, the first line of the Alma Mater made a return to the program today. I know no one cares, but let's do it right. A very good day. Congrats Panthers.

The end of this game felt like old Dome magic folks!
For those of us that positioned RV's strategically, we still had a lot of fun tailgating. And the gameday changes from the administration were noticeable and welcome. A great homecoming all around!
(Also, I was hoping for a long field goal attempt from Vinateri and he did not disappoint. Was fun to watch that.)

Good stuff! Tonight was a good time. A couple thousand more people and it'll be really fun.
We're so good up front defensively.
And I'm pretty sure Cal Twait killed a guy on one of those wildcat counter plays.
Win out, which is totally realistic at this point, and we should miss out on Thanksgiving weekend. Is love to have the problem of trying to find a place to watch football in Minneapolis before the US Bank Classic game on December 1

A return of the cardiac cats! It felt very much like a decade ago - a dominating defense and solid office (nothing flashy, just gets it done). It’s been a few years since we’ve had a big game go like that.
I’ve been critical of Farley and his involvement in the offense. The first quarter was the usual and I was afraid it was going to be the usual result. However they opened they playbook up the rest of the game (until late in the fourth, as usual) and it was fun. Credit is due. Great game by the coaches. Great game by the players. Tip of the hat to a great game.
The music was loud, and it sounded like they got a few new tunes too - Great upgrades! I know they will get some complaints about the music level Monday. That’s the way it works. They turn up the volume, they get complaints. They turn it down, they get complaints.

So if you are bored check and see what the #4 top play on Sportscenter was for today(well yesterday now)Oh, and let me make this perfectly clear to you people: you go to UNI, NOT IOWA. The Hawkeyes and their fans do not give a crap if you remain "true to them" or some stupid self-fulfulling bullcrap like that.-OTP
What i say are my opinions and mine alone, and not that of anyone associated with me.

And the replay from UNI shows him waving as he enters the locker room, too. I could watch it 100 times. Deserved to make the big show!Originally posted by sevelev711 View Post
The walk off into the locker room after the flip tackle after the one handed grab is one of the most Big Pimpin' moves I've ever seen."...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."
