Both teams scare me a little bit, but I think Drake with Josh Young is more dangerous, however either way I hope our far fresher legs will prevail.

They're just... Drake. Have a run-in with them (especially lately) and you'll see what I mean. I have stories, and there are others who do, too.

Just curious. I'm a DSM native with some family ties to Drake. I've never heard of their fans being hate-worthy. You'll find a few random idiots anywhere - including here.

Agreed, but I think that you saw a lot of bandwagon jumpers last year, who thought that they were basketball know-it alls when most really weren't.

As much as I'd like to play Drake again, I choose to go with ISU. My all-session tickets are in the Drake section and I just don't want to deal with it.

Hey, a friend and I were able to convince 6 others to join us representing 4 MV schools. Could be an interesting weekend....

I agree, Drake is a more dangerous team. If Young and Cox get it going they can be a very good team.

We haven't played well against Indiana State, but I think they don't have the talent to beat us two out of three.

ive lived in DSM for 3 years. i always cheered for drake until i found out what an ignorant, pompous, clueless fanbase they are.

case in point: my buddy was complaing this week cuz Young didnt win POTY this year. yes i am being serious. i told that if he wasnt a drake fan, he would realize that young is whiny, weak, flopping ***** who benefited from having a great PG and that he isnt even one of the best five GUARDS in the MVC.

Printy last game enjoyed playing against fellow iowans...he's due for another big game against us. Bring on Drake.

I am still undecided about who I would rather face. My initial gut-feeling was that I would rather play Indiana State because Drake will sit back in that zone all game and if we are not hitting from outside and stay stagnant on offense, it could be a struggle. It also allows Drake to stay out of foul trouble, which means they can stay with their regulars longer. On the other hand, we have played better overall ball against Drake (3 good halves vs 2 against ISU). Drake has fewer 'explosive' offensive weapons (Young/Cox/Parker) than ISU (Tunnell/Marshall/Printy/Reed/Richard). On top of that, we haven't beaten any conference team this year when they wear blue and we wear white.

Oh well, I like the fact that whoever we play only gets 16 hours of rest, hope we have it in our game-plan to push tempo early like we did against SIU this year to wear on them early.

I say drake

they have lost 4 of last 7 and 7 of last 10 games. They are cold as ice. ISU on the other hand has won 6 of 7 games. Of course both teams have beaten us. I say ISU could be the dark horse of the tourney so I am rooting for drake.

Whoever it is they better getter ready to greet the wrath of the panther!!
