Creighton in the "last 4 in"

Possible rematch with Marquette if that plays out. And that last 4 in gets them an 11 seed.

Best thing for the league would be a UNI victory over Creighton in the final, it gets two teams in the tourney.

And the worst thing for the league is a Creighton victory in the final. They're the only MVC team who appears capable of an at large. Our resume isn't strong enough.

A Creighton loss in the final leaves them at 27-7. If you can't get in the NCAA Tournament with 27 wins...when can you get in?
Creighton will get an At-Large with 2 wins for sure, with 1 win I'd say a really good chance, and losing their first game will put them right on the bubble, last team in or out probably.

          UNI has no at-large chance.

If CU loses to Il St on Saturday they'll both end up with a similar RPI in the mid to high 40s... I dont think that is enough. It would be a long week of waiting for the jays.

For the conf, I hope its a UNI/CU final. For us, I hope Missouri State gets hot until Sunday.

At this point i'm willing to deal with the conference looking worse, and MSU getting really hot on Thursday Friday and Saturday, then going cold as heck on Sunday

I wouldn't be suprised to see WSU knock off Creighton in the 1st round. They have a lot of depth and won't be affected as much by playing the night before. They are a difficult matchup for Creighton, also.

By the way, not that we are focused on the little dance yet but here is the "NITology" site that pops up every year. The dude usually updates it on Monday afternoons.

Are we really the last team in in the NIT? Wow.

A week ago, when he updated it, we were. I actually was surprised we were even in his predictions at that point after losing to Drake and Siena.

But we're a lock now with the auto-bid!! (And I think our RPI has improved enough to merit our entry regardless)

This is a big change from last week, very good news for Creighton and the MVC in general. I've been down on the Bluejays chances to this point, but this is good to see and I definitely hope Lunardi is right.
It's my kind of team, Charlie. My kind of team!

I'll happily stand by this prediction, whether right or wrong. No matter what Creighton does, they will NOT get an at-large bid.

You might be right. I am trying to decide whether or not they would have a stronger or weaker resume than ISU did last year.
