Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

Let's get some non-gay discussions going! If the cats can perform well this tourney could really go a long ways to helping their SOS and at-large chances.
"I think they're very good," Farley said of the preseason top 25 Hawkeyes. "But so are we."

DePaul just fired three assistants. Their leading scorer, Tucker, has declared for the NBA draft as a sophomore and will not be back. Their other good sophomore, Koshwal, has declared but not hired an agent. Koshwal made the all Big East freshman team, and will be a big problem for us if he returns. He's 6'10", about 260, and can move. Keep in mind this year's NBA draft is VERY weak. Koshwal's status may be elevated due to the the lack of available talent, which may make him more inclined to leave.

I'm pretty sure the rest of their roster returns. They had a horrible Big East season, but played with a really young lineup in the country's toughest conference. Without the turmoil, DePaul would've been a really tough game for us. They still have a lot of talent on the roster, so there's no way I'd chalk up this game as a sure "W".

I agree Stein. I don't think any team will be easy but it would sure be great if the Panthers come to this tourney hot and win it! Would love to see them beat DePaul, then Tennessee, and then get some revenge on Purdue! haha lots have to happen for it to go that way but I can hope!

I dont think ANY game is a "sure W" for us. We have to play well to win, we aren't going to out-talent many teams.

Although this is a pretty winnable game for us, and it gives us a chance to beat a name oppenent, even though they are down. This tourny for us next year is huge. What next season becomes could really weigh on how we do in that tournament.

Winning that first game will be huge. It pretty much guarantees a couple more games against the BCS schools. Lose, and it could get kind of ugly from an RPI standpoint.

I agree. Win the first one and we're looking at the last two as most likely Tennessee and then either Boston College/St. Joe's or Purdue. Also nice to go into a tournament that has 4 BcS teams and we are the 3 seed.

My point was I don't feel that way. We'll be favored, but so what? The competition they played last year is absurdly good, so their record reflects that. Given where they recruit, and their name, they'll have a lot of guys who are better athletes than anyone we have. It doesn't mean they're the better team, but nobody should be hugely suprised if we end up in a big dog fight. Depending on the spread, this will be a very "bettable" game...taking DePaul and the points.

Stein, I didn't say it would be easy. I said it is very winnable. Do you think they are a better team than us? If not, we should win the game more often than not.

I realize they played a tough schedule last year, but getting your face beat in all year long doesn't somehow make you better.

You are right 2317, our record is not going to help us win next year. But the fact that we bring back 95% of our team will.

I like the pairing. I like it when UNI is the first quarterfinal game of the tourney!

DePaul has undergone some 'construction' this offseason, but if UNI can get the 'W' it will be a great RPI tourney and give UNI their first of hopefully many BCS wins on the year.

The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

DePaul should be an easy win... Tennessee could be interesting, depending on if Tyler Smith comes back.

You're falling into the same "trap" I aluded to a few posts ago. This will not be an easy win.

My guess is that Tyler Smith won't be back. As I said, this years' NBA draft is absurdly weak. Guys like Tyler Smith and Koshwal from DePaul will have their status inflated due to overall lack of talent.

                        Two words for tonight...Go Bulls!

                          I agree with Go Bulls!

Koshwal won't be drafted if he comes out this year, and Smith could go near the top of the second round.

If it's a trap, I'll jump in anyway... DePaul won nine games last year: Albany, UIC, Detroit, Indiana State, Liberty, Southern, St. Louis, Alcorn St., Cincinnati - and they are losing their leading scorer, and could lose their top rebounder.

If DePaul wins 10 games next season, I'll be shocked.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Tyler Smith has taken his name out of the NBA draft and is returning to Tennessee next season.
