I know that there's been a lot of discussion of how weak the road teams are for this year for BracketBusters, but here's a little research I've done based upon the most recent mid-major top 25 rankings:

This is terrible.

Not only do we have to play one of these lame teams this year, but we will have to go on the road and return the game one of the next two seasons.

Take a look at the following site:

As or right now, it appears that UNI lines up with Detroit. I believe BC predicted earlier in the season that we would be playing them. I think BracketBusters will serve it's purpose having Belmont and Creighton facing each other, but beyond that the matchups seem much less desirable.

Terrible, terrible event.

Creighton is going to absolutely destroy Belmont.

I would personally get a bit lesser team that's closer so it doesn't cost us a ton of money to return it (ie, please don't give us Iona)...

NDSU is gonna goto Wichita and whoop thier asses, I can't wait for that road trip. Will we be able to get 2000+ tickets at WSU ?

You probably will get Wichita and you will get destroyed.

Also, Wichita sold out the season in July, so good luck with tickets. Its a bit above a Summit League atmosphere...

I actually hope that WSU takes NDSU fans to the woodshed on tickets and sell them to their fans. Two things will happen from this:

1. NDSU will get to see what college basketball is about.
2. NDSU will get freaking destroyed.

Please don't relate this to your arrival in the Valley for football, I know there has been a ton of smack talk, and you guys have shoved it in our face. I also don't think however that people were thinking you would be embarrassed either. WSU is so far out of your league its not even funny.

Lakes take a zero off of the amount of tickets you think you can get and you will be in the general area of how many bison fans may get, and like it was said you have no idea what you are in for.

I would love for us to be able to slap around NDSU on our court, but at the same time I would dread that matchup actually happening because we would be forced to go play in their hell-hole HS gym next year in the return game.

With that in mind, watching the Shox pick them apart would suffice.

Lakes you do realize WSU is ranked #20(AP Poll) and has one of the best home court advantages in the country.

Agreed, I guess you guys should be happy we probably won't play in BB. Lakes would be living here for three weeks. That said I'm sure that would make the K-State fans happy...they would get a break from hearing about the 20,000 fans we'll be bringing to their stadium and how we will beat them.
