    Getting Students in the Mac

    For the game vs. MSU on Saturday, Coach Jake has reached into his own pocket - $500 - to promote student attendance. Five students will each win $100. More here...

    Glad the college/Ben are trying to do something to get the students in the doors, but frankly at this point during the season we shouldn't need to bribe students. Very sad.

        Attendance will increase now that students are back to school and nationwide sports attention is beginning to shift to college basketball. I was in school during the amazing 2009-10 season and it was the same way then...

          If the students lay another dud for this game and through the end of the season, its time to drastically reduce the student tickets available for free.

          Its already a proven fact that we can sell those bleacher tix for cheap to get loads of people in the door. If the students cant fill the section for a top 25 team, then they absolutely do not need all of those seats allotted to them.

            Take one of those sections and sell them to public for $10. When the students are standing up top because of no place to sit then I would worry about it going back.

                    I thought the game was Saturday... You're right (but we are one of two scheduled Top 25 games on Sunday)

                        Why is the amount of seats sacred? If students don't use them for a ranked UNI team they just aren't that interested. Lets just sell some of them.
