So TH, what would you do to draw in more of the thousands who come for football games, but not basketball games?

I'd make fun of them for not being real fans, then I'd congratulate basketball ticket buyers for coming out in bigger numbers relative to football than most bigtime schools.

Which results in 0 additional tickets sold and 0 additional revenue raised.

It's better than having fewer tickets sold and less revenue raised.

Which still doesn't answer my question about what you would do to get more of the football fans to come to basketball games.

I'd give them all free tickets. You seem to be in favor of methods that lose money.

Still no positive suggestions. Just cheap shots.

We basically have this. I have a weekend ticket package. Not sure if includes all the weekend games, but certainly most. I don't have seatback seats but very good seats on the end.

So, did we make or lose money by selling you the weekend ticket package? Would you have bought a full season ticket if the weekend package wasn't available? Or would you have not bought a season ticket at all?

Made money. Two hour drive and I can't do it during the week. Before I bought the weekend pack, I would go to maybe two games a year

We might lose some full season ticket holders, but I suspect it would be a net gain from weekend packages, especially if they promote them hard to the football fans.

what if we looked into doing some dynamic pricing with weekend games / weekday games? For example: For every weekend package we sell for $20 per ticket, sell a weeknight package for $9 per ticket. Make sure people know there are a "limited number available." Every time someone buys four weekend packages, we now have four weekday packages to sell....

We have our problems, but unless they had a snowstorm in Normal, IL yesterday, their attendance was not good for such a great game. Lots of empty seats at courtside and their balcony was empty. Announced attendance was 6,100 something. They were making a big thing out of their 20th in the nation rank in overall athletic programs during the telecast. Normal has a population of 52,000 as compared to Cedar Falls with a population in the high 30,000.
