SIU game. I've been to too many one and done tournaments. Since the 08-09 season if we win the first one we run the table. Otherwise it's been one and done.

I didn't pick the SIU game, but I thought about it. I felt like it could easily have been a one and done We didn't play great, but I thought the guys won on guts.
Nothing ruins a trip to St. Louis like a Friday loss.

The first one gets the kinks out. Its tough shooting in an NHL arena.

What I find most amazing about Coach Jake's Archmadness record is except for once, every time we have gotten out of the 1st round we have won the tournament.

Crazy stat per UNI's basketball twitter - all 3 games were tied with 50 seconds left.

Suggestion: set up the court in the dome and start practicing there.

I'm not sure how many games I 'enjoy'. Rather I live through them and relish the results!
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

With the history of this season, I was not at all worried about the WSU game. This team gets up for big games and big opponents. I knew we would battle them hard.

The Aces game scared me. I was at work on Sunday, and I refused to even look at the score for most of the second half. I would not have been surprised if Evansville took that one from us. That is why I was so ecstatic with the outcome!

Yes, and the 'getting up for big games' thing has been proven several times. Not a fluke. I think it has to do with defense. A 95% defensive effort = an unintended hole somewhere exploited by a good / athletic team. The difference in effort between 100% and 95% is effort and gritty determination. Tough to maintain that, emotionally.
Our "big wins" also came with some great 3-point shooting. That didn't happen this weekend, at least with Bo and Paul. Were they just cold? Or were those shots specifically taken away?

I was struggling to come up with an answer to this poll until I read this. That's it! Thanks Bone for articulating what my brain could not formulate. I only enjoyed one half out of the last six and even that brief enjoyment was tempered by the sure knowledge it wasn't going to last. I voted for Evansville because I enjoyed the last shot so much.

Not a bad idea but I think they have other events going on in the Dome that would preclude the use of it for basketball practice. Since every other team has the same problem - except for Bradley - I don't think there's a huge need for it. Besides, Jake's teams are the kinds of teams that don't depend on guys shooting lights out from the field. It's mainly about defense and ball movement and you can practice that anywhere.

Do we even still have the ability to put the court up in the dome?

Yeah, if we are going to beat another top ten team this year, which is what we are likely facing in the first or second round, somebody is going to have to find their shooting touch again. None of our long range shooting specialists have shot close to their average lately and we need them to do at least that well. I don't think a court in the dome is the answer though, it's all mental.

As a fan I hate the wait but I do like that our guys have a week more rest than most of the teams in tournament.

I would think so. The court comes apart so it could theoretically be torn apart and put back together in the Dome.
