Yeah, I'm okay with people who are less optimistic about the programs, but R&B solely posts negative things. I've only been on the board for a year, granted, but I've not single a positive thing from him. That gets old.

Yet it seems like everyone here entertains his nonsense. It's pretty clear he lives for the blowback to his posts, not sure why else he would keep coming back.

I didn't mean to imply this board has a total intolerance for criticism, but when ideas that a majority of people don't like get tossed around, it gets pretty defensive around here.

Anyways, this team has alot to prove this year, and another season like last is unacceptable, period. I was feeling much better about this season, but when that second half happened, I felt a bit of that hopelessness creep up again. I don't want anymore of that. Then again it's just a damn scrimmage.

And I am fine with someone like you expressing that frustration, because I am pretty sure you will be back here with positive things to say if things turn around. However if a person only posts negatives and only posts when things are not going well, they are going to lose credibility in my eyes.

No problem for me to have someone to offer an adverse opinion occasionally and level out the hype.
R & B (and frankly JegBomb before him), are the kind of guys that would complain about having to buy a wallet after they won the lottery.

I'm not too concerned about the result of the Pembroke game. I would lay odds that there was little to no game prep done for this game. Most of the game prep since practice began has been geared toward UNC Chapel Hill and very little actual preparation went into the UNC Pembroke game. Also, if you didn't know, Pembroke is a very high caliber DII program. They went to the DII national tournament last year.. It wouldn't surprise me if they won their conference and got another bid to the tournament this year.

JegBomb was one of the founding members of this board and a great member. I'm not sure what your problem with him could have been, probably that he wasn't an ISU fan like so many on here.

Good post, and spot on. R&B can be over the top at times, but he also raises some very good points, and is a good balance to the Kool Aid faction.

We also had zero post presence in the 2nd half even with Phyfe in the game. Very much the opposite of last season almost, Koch in the post was our best option to score last season and now tonight we have no post presence and were able to win by making free throws from driving into the lane (Juwan) and hitting some 3's late thanks to Pickford. Have to have both if we are going to have any chance this season.
I'm surprised there isn't more conversation about this. Our senior post was called out by his coach as not being motivated and benched for most of the second half. That's not a great start to the year and doesn't set the stage well for fixing the offensive mess we had last year.

I think part of it is that we were so encouraged by Phyfe and, frankly, we're kind of used to this act from Bennett. Didn't catch anybody off guard I don't think...
