No team in the top 15 should ever lose a game by over 30 points.
To an unranked opponent no less.

FFS, Ohio St has lost four in a row and are still top 25.

Michigan St got housed by Purdue and they’re still Top 15.

10 win Texas Tech lost back to back games and dropped one spot.

Sucks, but I feel like the field is already set for the year.

The AP published the votes again this week. The voter who had us up as high as 17th doesn't even have us in his top 25 now.

I think Syracuse beat an average Virginia team this weekend to get back to 8-7 on the year. The selection committee immediately slotted Syracuse into a 4-seed because they are over .500 and Syracuse. UNI likely needs to win their next 6 games, maybe more, to break into the top 25.

Unfortunately you are probably right. When I see a ranked P5 team go down I less often think “good, now maybe we can jump them” but instead “oh no, now everyone will think the 0.500 team that beat them is good and will probably jump us.”

collegepolltracker.com lists each voter and their respective picks for the week. You can sort the information as well by team to see who voted for us.

That's pretty pathetic that we went from 37 to 36. People clearly are too hyped about the mediocre B1G and the other power 5 teams. Something like 37 conference games and 5 road wins total in that league. Everyone is saying that's because those teams are so good and they might be right. However I am thinking that because so few of them challenge themselves on the road in the non-conference that they really haven't figured out how to win on the road yet. I suspect quite a few will be knocked out of the tournament in the first weekend as they won't be protected by their own arena.

The most unfortunate thing about this post is that it is completely true.

Yes, mediocrity through the conference is a worst case scenario for us.

I don't have numbers to back this up but as an observer it seems like home court winning % is much higher this year. Could be way off though IDK. But all teams in the money conferences need to do is win a decent amount of their home games and they are in, Crooked system

How dare we use something mostly fair! A black Box with a P5 bias is obviously the answer

Up to 36th in AP Poll with 10 points this week.

    37 in NET
    55 in Ken Pom
    73 in ESPN BPI
19 in RPI (wonder why they quit using it?)

Also, the AP has stopped releasing individual ballots (mainly to protect incompetent voters that get called out) so we aren't really going to know where those votes are coming from other than the very few that publish their ballots.
