  • Games of interest: 2022-2023

    Strong starts last night for:
    --SIU (W over ULR)
    --InSU (W W-GB)
    --UE (W @ Miami (OH).

    Rough night for:
    --Murray (blown out at SLU)
    --ILSU (home loss to WIU)
--Valpo (loss and no cover @ Toledo)

The game of the night was in Nashville. Ohio got a 3 to go up with 0.8 seconds left. I quit watching because I assumed it was over. They must have put a little more time on the clock, and Belmont went the length of the floor to hit a 3 at the buzzer to avoid the upset. Didn't cover the Kenpom spread though.
Yeah, a D+ effort out of me on the day I created the name for this account. I didn't think I would use this account more than once.

Thats funny, I did exactly the same thing on the Belmont game. I assumed Belmont had blown a good victory for the conference and quit watching. I think it was Even Brauns a big from Iowa City was struggling late to handle the post from Ohio.

The Illinois State loss is an absolute disaster, I would like to have seen Murray State keep it closer but Saint Louis is a good team.

Noah Carter started for Missouri last night playing 22 minutes going 3-8 from the floor including 0-4 from 3, 6 boards, a steal and a block in a 97-91 win over powerhouse Southern Indiana.

Also on that team is Isiaih Mosley (formerly of MoSt) who played 16 minutes off the bench going 2-7 (0-3).

I can't believe a team with those two on it is bad defensively.

Noah Carter would be absolutely perfect on our team right now. Shame.

I'm surprised Noah is starting ahead of Mosley.

It all depends on systems. Mosley was great in the Bear system. Noah was a nice compliment to AJ and Born. It's one game and they'll gel better I'm sure throughout the season or Noah's dad will get mad by game 3 Noah isn't playing all 40 min and scoring at least 25 for an SEC team.

Ex. Will see how Duke does in a different system now. All the star power but how will it look without one of the Goats there.

Big game for the Valley tonight in Stillwater, Salukis will need to keep it within 9 for the Kenpom cover. 7pm, ESPN+.

Redbirds will try to avoid another embarrassing in-state loss. Kenpom says they beat EIU by 7.

The bottom 4 in this league are bad. Like really, really bad.

EIU is one of the worst teams in DI, if that game is competitive, Illinois State is worse than I thought and I didn't think much of them.

You're right. Huge game for Southern. This is a game you should be competitive in/ give yourself a chance to win if you've taken the next step as a program.

Hey now. Southern Indiana was a powerhouse* very recently.

Nice comeback. And win on defense.

Great to see a team play small ball and win !

Still not convinced they can score enough to beat good teams consistently but that's a great win for the league! Our turn this weekend!
