I hope Utoff doesn't start thinking he's too good for the valley

i just dont understand quotes like this, or those above. first off, coach johnson DOES read message boards and i would be shocked if he didnt post or lurk around here. i really hope uthoff ends up at UNI but how often do valley school get top 75-type players? very rarely. its not a knock on the valley...you are blind if you dont see that the valley is down over the past few years. i would hope that every player wants to play against the best competition possible...that will happen in a major conference. i dont see him picking butler over UNI but i dont blame him for wanting to play in a major conference.

I know what you mean, who wouldn't want to go to Iowa or Iowa State and toil in the bottom of both conferences instead of competing for the MVC title every year.

I was more so thinking of schools like minn, wis, ill, az st & butler too. Iowa & isu are obviously unatractive at this point

I think the appeal is exposure, not level of play necessarily.

The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

Rumor has it that KCRG is going to air a 1 hour special tomorrow night at 8 where Uthoff will announce his decision to Eastern Iowa

I thought that was pretty funny. It's good ESPN can poke fun at themselves considering how ridiculous that whole thing was.

I can't read a thing from his comments or his expressions. He's playing this very well. Here's hoping it works well for the Panthers tomorrow.

Last thing I want to hear is that loud mouth RLarsen in the background barking his pro-UofI favor.

why does it matter if he reads this board? I hope he does read it. Because we have all read what he has said too and in my opinion, there have been multiple cases where he had an anti uni slant with his words.

Scmucks like us on a random message board do not need to appease some aau coach with what we say. /rant

Sound like uthoff could be leaning toward Iowa right now? Yuck. I hope that's not true.

Not sure what you think he's going to get exposed to at Iowa or ISU, other than a lot of arse kickings.

Ask Ali Farokmanesh what kind of exposure you can get at UNI...

Hmmmm.....beating UNLV & KU on national TV, playing in front of 40k at the Edward Jones Dome, the Dan Patrick Show and every other nationally sydicated sports talk show, cover of Sports Illustrated, on stage at the ESPYs.

Now ask Matt Gatens what kind of exposure he's gotten at Iowa.

I swear a few of you guys can't separate fact from fiction.
