Uthoff trims his list...

The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

Damn. IF we are planning on filling that last scholly, I hope it goes to Jake White... seems like a very solid player.Originally posted by Panthers to the Bone View Post
But then again, do we really need to fill it? As posted before, it's really not going to hurt us to bank it, and will give us more ammo down the road.Raised a Hawkeye, Panther by choice.

Re: Uthoff trims his list...
So, talk has been fairly quite recently in regards to our recruits. Who thinks that Coach Jake is just banking his scholly for next year, or is he going to use it? If he does use it, who gets it?
Thoughts?Raised a Hawkeye, Panther by choice.

Re: Uthoff trims his list...
I think we have a couple of excellent classes coming in but was really hoping our sweet 16 run would land us a "highl major" recruit. Utholf and Oglesby are those kind of recruits IMO."I think they're very good," Farley said of the preseason top 25 Hawkeyes. "But so are we."

Just posted something on the Tuttle thread...but I have watched both Uthoff and Tuttle play this summer and BELIEVE me, we are going to be just fine with Tuttle. I think he may be the steal of next year's recruiting class. Now we just need to find a PG to get these guys the ball.Originally posted by ubuntuCAT View PostI think we have a couple of excellent classes coming in but was really hoping our sweet 16 run would land us a "highl major" recruit. I don't disagree, but I'm starting to wonder if Tuttle was grossly under some people's radar...Originally posted by ubuntuCAT View PostI think we have a couple of excellent classes coming in but was really hoping our sweet 16 run would land us a "highl major" recruit. Sure hope it stays that way too. Loving what I hear about him and being in-state makes it even better to me anyway.Originally posted by JCPanthers View PostYep!!! UNI didn't make Oglesby's list
6-5 guard Josh Oglesby narrows his list to Arizona St, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota. He will visit all 4 soon.

Re: Uthoff trims his list...
I think we only hear anything if there is a HS Jake likes that is next in line. Otherwise I see the scholly as getting banked for either a mid-year transfer (though we have only had a few of those and the 'best' was Adam Rodenberg) or a spring juco-signing. We haven't had a lot of success with spring signings, but that has been fine as we have typically kept a solid base with our fall signings and can use any spring schollys to try and address specific needs with high reward if they work (Ali F.) or low risk (the handful of juco wash-outs that never had an impact on us). We are pretty deep and still stocked with youth (Jake K, Pehl, Sonnen, AJ, Morrison, Lange, along with our incoming Fr)

Re: Uthoff trims his list...
well, Here are the scholarships offers that are out according to Rivals and Scout. Some of them might be outdated and some might be flat out incorrect, while some might have already commited elsewhere, as those sites aren't always reliable.
Ross Travis 6-6 PF, Chaska MN
Dylan Ennis SG Lake Forest, Il
Rasham Suarez 6-3 SG, Gatlinburg, TN
Jake White 6-7 SF, Chaska, MN
Estan Tyler 6-1 PG, St. Paul, MN
Who knows if any of those are still out there, or there in the first place.
