  • I'd take Winona State's leading scorer as a transfer. 6'10" sophomore. Familiar name.

Ryan Heise (22) Forward - 2025-26: Started all 28 games for the Warriors... Led the team in points per game (14.0), field goal percentage (52.4%), and blocked shots

    • Connected to Augustana's Tameron Ferguson. 6-3 combo guard that averaged 20 PPG and has two years left.

      • I was waiting till Arch Madness was over to get back on the recruiting discussion.

Yes. We have been connected to Tameron Ferguson, and he looks really talented. Averages almost 21 ppg 6 rpg and 5 assists. He also plays quality defense. I think he'd fit really well here but he also has a lot of interest. This portal season is going to be very interesting.

        • Making the dance should help us in the portal this year. Hopefully the staff can capitalize on it

Hey just wondering if any knows if his sister plays any sports?

                • Looks like all our recruits have led their teams to their respective state tournaments.
Good luck to all 3 this week!

                  • Will Gerdes goes 13 for 14 from the floor while putting up 28 points and 15 rebounds in Cedar Falls' first game at state last night. Not too bad.

                    • Gerdes had another big game today in their win over Dowling. 28 pts and 8 rebounds while playing a team that has a couple guys 6'9" and up. He looked really good today and he's definitely bulked up quite a bit over the last couple years.

                      • Will Gerdes finished his high school career with a state title and being named captain of the All Tournament team. He shot 100% from the field today and had 19 pts 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. He ended up having an 82.3% FG percentage during the tournament this year. They also overcame a 17 point deficit to win the title. Incredible job by Cedar Falls this year.

One big takeaway I've had from watching Will play this week, he is excellent at understanding where he is on the court. His court awareness is outstanding. They run a bunch of plays where he comes across screens to get to the block and he is up laying the ball up before he even looks at the hoop. He also does a great job kicking the ball out to teammates when the double comes. He just seems advanced beyond his years.

I'm really impressed with the way he plays and even more excited to see what kind of player he can become at UNI.

                        • Jordan Boyd starts his state tournament tomorrow at 4:00. Zavier Zens starts his state tournament on March 19th. I'll try to keep tabs on how they do and update here.

                          • Loving these three recruits. I was able to watch Gerdes and I left very impressed. Incredibly efficient and smooth around the hoop.

Adding to this class we also have one of our highest rated recruits in Jalen Wilson that redshirted. Wasn't he a top 100 ESPN recruit? Has he been able to put on some muscle weight? Scouts describe him as an explosive "mismatch nightmare" due to his length, athleticism, and interior scoring versatility. Just curious on what anyone has heard about it? Gerdes, Wilson, Zens give us some nice size with Will in the middle for the next two years.

Jalen's main reason for redshirting was to add muscle. He was somewhere in between 100-200 in recruiting, but that's honestly not the best way to judge. I don't think Zens is really ranked anywhere fwiw. I think he and Zavier have similar games, being the same size and showing a ton of skill down low as well as being adept at shooting outside.

We have a lot of talent coming in next year. I'm excited to see how it plays out and if Geon can figure some stuff out in the offseason.

                              • Boyd and Zens both advanced to their State title games today.

Zens was also named Mr basketball in the state of Wisconsin today as well!
