oops, I guess PantherFan beat me to the punch while I was trying to format. And obviously I used the same source data as them, so if there was an inconsistency, and LurkingDog claims, mine would have the same.

UNI better name their score in this one, ISU's luck UNI loses by a touchdown.

I do remember one game in Des Moines in either 1982 or 1985. The name still haunts me to this day: Amaro Ware. He was to UNI that day what David Johnson was to ISU last Saturday. A beast.

I don't think Drake has such a player this year, but it goes to show, you never know what you'll encounter on the gridiron. We gotta be ready.

All the more reason why I REALLY wish that Iowa hadn't chosen the wuss route by not seeing it as having any benefit to them to play UNI.

UNI would definitely give them all that they could handle this year, especially when you consider that Iowa couldn't even beat N. Illinois, which we could beat with a team assembled off of this forum!

Iowa didn't really have much of a choice about whether or not they can continue playing us; the decision to end FCS games was made by the B1G commissioner.

That would have been 1982. Drake, coming off that 10-1 season, opened with the win over UNI. I was looking forward to Drake's next game, against defending I-AA champion Idaho State...thinking Drake was going to be a big deal in this new classification. Instead, the Bulldogs reeled off four straight losses. Very disappointing.

I agree it was out of their hands. However many many Iowa fans want to end the isu series.

                      Nice irony, 1988.

I want 70+ from UNI tomorrow. Let the reserves play a real second half and put the hammer down. Need real game experience for these guys, not 3 runs up the middle and punt. If the game isn't essentially over midway through the second period, I will be very disappointed.

We saw the Drake buses on 20 while driving up last night. Puppies being led off to slaughter.
