After a couple of conversations over the past few weeks I was curious how the fan base feels right now.

Given the option, would you rather continue the same path of winning 5-8 games a season and hoping we can squeeze into the playoffs or roll the dice and see what happens with a change?

In a second form, would you rather make the first round of the playoffs and (hopefully) beat a weak opponent before losing in the second round or would you rather have the season end?

End the season and make a change. Would Paup be willing to take the reins? No way Kleinman comes back. Who else is out there in the coaching wings? Is Eric Sanders still coaching?

Always enjoy the Saturday after Thanksgiving game. Of course those games use to mean something when the field was 16. Now they are a joke because you essentially are playing a Drake type team.

There is zero doubt in my mind Panther football is done until Farley is removed. He topped out years ago. He traps himself now with quests for dual threat QBs, Wildcat, and insisting on a running game even it it means losing.

I woukd like a young offense minded coach that is a modern coach. Push the ball and take advantage of the indoor environment. I would hope he turns the defense over to a DC and lets him do his thing.

I dont want want to hear game manager, winning time of possession, establishing the run, or balance offense. If you can’t run pass every down.

I hope the new new coach would use it as stepping stone. Win a title or two and move on.

I dont care about UNI ties, fine if he has them but don’t limit the search.

what kind of idiot structures an FCS contract where a million dollars is guaranteed ?

if Bol at NDSU could do no better than Wyoming then you didn’t need to worry about Farley going somewhere. Besides a million dollars is found in the couch cushions and big schools.

        No to Paup
        No to SAnders

I actually want someone without UNI ties. It's time to go out and find somebody that wants to move on and coach at the highest level.

Go out and get the next Mike Leach. Let's take advantage of the fact we're going to play 6-8 games inside every year.

I'd be thrilled with a succession of coaches that are here 3 or 4 years because it means they're winning big and moving on to better things even if those better things aren't head jobs.

And can we please stop with the Paup talk? He's in his mid-50s and has never been more than a position coach at the college level. He's literally Mark Farley with none of the experience.

I'll take that too. I just wouldn't mind that ambitious coach being a former Panther if we're laying out dream scenarios. #1 priority is winning and bringing home hardware, though, regardless of alma mater

Personally, I’m ready for a reset.

Paup up is never gonna happen. I don’t believe he’d want it anyway.

My hope would be that JJ is able to stick around. If he had an offensive-minded coach to match the defense we’ve been putting out there... watch out. I say that not knowing who truly runs our D, Farley or JJ.

Who knows who runs anything anymore? We always hear there will be changes and that the issue was someone else, but the offense has just sucked in similar but different ways since Salmon left.

The offense sucked with Salmon too - totally predictable!

I don’t know what the answer is, but I am absolutely sure that I can’t continue doing this anymore. It just flatly has not been fun anymore, and the thought of shelling out money for season tix yet again next year is not something I am looking forward to, and frankly is not guaranteed. Which, for me, even saying that out loud is something so far removed from what I could have ever imagined...

This has been the worst season I can remember in a long time for attendance, atmosphere, tailgating, and hope for the future.

Some of that was out of the schools control but some of it wasn’t.

Uni football all has lost lots of fans the past couple years. Not easy to get them back. I think the only was is a new young coach and an athletic department that breaks new ground with beer sales in the seats.

I dont care care personally if they sell beer or not but enough people do. $15 tickets on the edges with $5 beers and some marketing to get word out.

I would guess he's be available. He's currently listedas an offensive quality control Analyst at the University of Georgia. This article says that he's making $135k per year. Certainly within our wheelhouse.

ATHENS — Georgia offensive analyst Jay Johnson has received a new salary for the 2018 season, an indication he will remain on staff this year. Johnson is now set to earn $135,000 in base salary, according to information provided by UGA on Tuesday. Johnson was earning $50,000 last year from UGA, during a year he was

                            1. Rather roll the dice and make a change.

                            2. Would rather make the playoffs, even limping in than end the season.

                            3. Have a bad feeling that the glory days of UNI football, started some 35 years ago by Dr. Victory, are behind us. Hope I'm wrong, but looking at it objectively what did UNI ever do to deserve the run we've had?
