Round 2: UC Davis

[panther-state]

With some of the tackling issues we've during the year I'm worried about those 2 as well

[ronfitch]

Looks like the team arrived last night about 10:00 pm in Sacramento. Get a good nights rest, sleep in late and get up and get after it.

A bit surprised that we have two night in a hotel.

Posted last night ...

The bracket is so wide open! A win tonight and if Nichols can hold off EWU in the second half- could be a quarterfinal in the Dome. The semi-final for our side will be at Maine or at Weber State. SDSU gets Kennesaw State next week, which is a very winnable road game and then a matchup with NDSU likely.

Game time! Let's go!

[kochrab]

What the... a PASS on the first play of a drive?!?!

[kochrab]

3-0 UNI to start. I'm liking what I'm seeing already from the offense. Hopefully the pass and run game mix keeps up and we don't just settle for short run gains if it's not working.

[Panther'73]

Broadcasters definitely like UC Davis ALOT

[kochrab]

Defense is being picked apart right now. This up-tempo isn't going in our favor at the moment.

[panther1]

Need to bring pressure! This guy will pick us apart without pressure.

[kochrab]

Good stand in the red zone. Tied 3-3 in the 1st.

[Purpledog]

I like this O scheme for UC, gonna be tough to stop but I think our D will. I think We have better talent on offense and we would dominate if we ran the O like this.

[kochrab]

Uh oh. Hopefully Weymiller is alright. Can't lose him

[ronfitch]

Damn, it is good to have Errthum as UNI's kicker.

Gotta finish those drives, though.

[kochrab]

Offense is doing pretty well so far. Need some TD's rather than more FG's, but I'll take the points nonetheless

[Khan4Cats]

7, 5, 9, 10 yards a rush up the gut. So let's try a sweep or throwing the ball. Same old....
