Folks...UNI would not be winning comfortably if Farley had called a different game. UC Davis is a good team. UNI has been far from perfect, but UC Davis measures up really well at several position groups. Their offense is damn tough.

And Davis had success with his offense at Fordham where he landed out.

3rd and 10, after a timeout and you run a short route. And 4th you throw into double coverage. Better luck next year, hopefully with a new coach. Or a current one that is severely handcuffed by the AD so a true OC can call games.

I thought the play call on 3rd was actually really good.

Moore was open and it would have been a 15 yard game.

He just turned his eyes up field too quick.

Winning is more fun than losing.

Really impressed with the boys effort in the 2nd half.

We had a lot of guys on the field who haven't played much.

Flater had a great game. Kibbe, Penning, Hoosman all playing snaps late.

Shakespeare Williams starting as CB as a true frosh.

Defense settled down and played a good game. Good enough to win.

Back to back weeks against a Southland and Big Sky D we score only 16 points.

Winning is more fun than losing.

And, the 4th down throw, it looked like Dunne locked in on Moore. Is that Farley’s fault???

I really liked UC Davis’s skill players. Give Farley and staff credit for adjusting to shut down Doss in the second half. That and UNI’s refusal to give up kept the Panthers in the game.

We have not been great catching the ball all season.

Season started with it in Montana and ended with it at UC Davis.

Exactly......Get hot, sneak in playoffs. Beat a lesser team at home and lose to the first team that has any kind of talent. Too many undisciplined plays. We jumped offsides 3 times in one drive. The false start at the end was brutal too.

                    • Another thing that really hurt that probably gets overlooked is the two penalties on the UNI interceptions. The second one would of put us deep inside the red zone but a block in the back put us out to long field goal range. The return on Duncan's pick was awesome but again I'm about 90% sure we were called for a penalty and marched that one back too....or Dunne's two picks in the red zone.......man did we have tons of opportunities. I feel bad for the players.

This page is filled with Farley haters! Most people don't appreciate what they have until it is gone. I do not agree with everything Farley does either but I do know a good coach when I see one. Farley lives and breathes UNI and Panther football. 11 playoffs 16 winning seasons in 18years, recruits quality kids with a high percentage of players that graduate. It is apparent that some of you would find fault with God coaching UNI football!!! True Panther fans are positive people. All of these negative post do nothing to support UNI athletics! Thankyou Blue 42 for your summary and keeping things positive.

                        • Thanks.

I've been pretty critical of MF on this board many times. So I'll own all that.

What I'd like to see more of on this board is some appreciation for the guys that put on the pads and do the work.

These guys could have played ball somewhere else. They chose to come to CF and work their arse off and put it on the line on Saturdays. It's a ton of work to do that and no small toll on the body. And they're 20 year old guys.

We are supporting them. They need better support from the coaches. Some of us demand more from the product based on the great support and facilities and all the advantages we have. Nothing wrong with that. The program is always bigger than any one coach
