are people getting angry because of the time change (it's been well proving how pissy you football people get when game start times aren't exactly when you want them), or because you think the team will perform poorly?

If UNI loses in football to WIU this year, I wouldn't get angry, I'd just stop caring about this year's team, because WIU is not good.

I don't think it's either. I think he meant that it's earlier in the day, so watching them perform poorly (again) would ruin the whole day, rather than just the evening. I wish I cared enough about the football team to evaluate whether that's accurate or not, but it probably is.
Give us a yell, HO! The purple and the gold
          Victory for U-N-I!

Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

Most coaches like early start times. The day seems longer with a 6:30 pm kickoff. It's too long to sit around and the nerves become all the more tense. As for this team we're just as awful in the morning. So, kickoff time makes no difference. Do I hear 2-6?...

UNI football had 4 losses this spring, all within one score (1-7 points, average 3.75)
              to 4 different playoff teams.

UNI was rated 2 or 3rd in the preseason. The mvfc have 5 reach the playoffs and UNI is not 1.

preseason polls are crapshoots, especially in a year like this where no one really knew which players (or even which teams) would be able to play

Ahhh. Maybe, but the MSU game ended with UNI driving down the field in the last two minutes only to miss a go-ahead field goal. Can’t lay that loss at coach’s feet.

Lol... How many Preseason All Americans did we have when that ranking came out? How many of those actually suited up for one game this spring? On paper, we had a really, really good team last fall. That team lost much of its strength when the decision was made to play in the spring.

I’m not a fan of Farley, but this comment is laughable given the facts.

That we can't be in the top 5 of our conference?

that wasn't the MSU game. And I can most definitely blame the coaches for having 6 red zone trips and only getting into the endzone once

The Dakota Schools officially own FCS. 3 playoff spots will be the norm from the 4 schools for this coming decade.
