    Valpo went 3-8 last year.

Played one MVFC team...the Penguins in the opener. Lost 52-10.

Their finale was St Thomas and they lost 16-10. UNI plays the Tommies the week after the Valpo game in 2024.
In St. Paul. Hoping for a big UNI alum/fan showing at the game and surrounding the game.
    "Well, that escalated quickly."

3-1 isn't out of the question heading into the Dakota gauntlet. Still an overall very disappointing schedule.
Optimistic that UNI will beat either Hawaii or Nebraska? Which one are you picking?

        Hawaii.

        They are not great.

In a normal year, we would likely be favored. The only potential issue this year is the fact it's our third straight road game in 3 weeks and is a week after Nebraska so the travel can't be advanced like it would be if we had someone that wasn't incompetent making the schedule.

Hawaii. They aren't real good but travel and schedule is the wild card.

I expect Nebraska to take a pretty significant step forward this year. Rhule is really, really good.

          • I could be wrong but I believe we could technically schedule a 13th game this year if we wanted to due to our trip to Hawaii. I believe teams that play at Hawaii are allowed an extra game and can play week 0. Again, could be wrong but I believe that is the case.

I don't expect us to do this, but I believe we could.

We are eligible but they have already stated that no additional game will be added.
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

              • A little salt on the wound, Montana completed their schedule and will be the first FCS team to play an 8 game home schedule.

The Montana Grizzlies will play eight home games for the 2025 football season, the university announced Tuesday.

                • A week zero game where you play a nobody, sell relatively cheap tickets, there are no Iowa or Iowa State games, and people are itching for football. I think we could sell 15,000 easily.

I don't know about 15,000, but I think you could easily make up the guarantee rate for a D.2 team. Since it's preseason and he would be more likely to be available, make it Kurt Warner day, retire his jersey to the rafters and make a big production of it.

                    • Call up Western Illinois and see if they want to play August 24th.

Time to put our money where our mouths are.

So much momentum department wide in two months. Let's get them the cash they need.

I haven't paid much attention, how do ticket prices compare to past years?

Another year another no season ticket package for me, sadly.

Kids have hit that age and it's only getting worse as my oldest will be joining a traveling soccer team this coming year. Between youth football, club soccer for 2 kids, traveling soccer for one, baseball, and club volleyball I'm hoping to make a single game this year.

Give me all the 4 or 6 kicks possible to give me even the smallest of chances to get there.

                              Looks flat to last year.

I guess that's at least positive? Probably need to stay flat for another year to make up for the gouging that DH employed, but we are at least getting closer!
