I'd say screw you, take Youngstown and grab RMU and tell the Dakotas to kick rocks.
Their egos just can't handle that nobody in the FBS wants them football only and they know down deep they can't take an all sports invite (that's not coming anyway) because then they'd actually have to fund other sports and couldn't dwarf everybody else in football spending. Real kick in the pants to realize you're a low major athletic department that simply buys 3 hours on ESPN every January that the rest of the sports world forgets about 15 minutes later.#MACtion

Either way I don't think many D1 athletic departments are ready to tackle the funding issue of being highly competitive (and profitable) in both sports.

This is entirely because Murray State was added, with everyone except NDSU voting yes, and the MVC schools going "Just because someone is added to the Summit doesn't mean they get automatic entrance into the MVFC. Just like anyone added to the MVC isn't granted entrance without a vote"
The Dakota's are insanely butt-hurt. Based on what I can parse from my Dakota friends it's almost entirely "**** Indiana State and Murray State".
So the solution they came up with is essentially the real world equivalent of this photo
They have spent 17 years screaming about how the MVC schools just bully the Summit schools and MVFC office hates the Summit and does everything they can to keep them down. Meanwhile, literally none of it was ever true. So they created a situation where the Summit schools can, and will, do everything they thought was happening the last 17 years.

This could be a measure from the MVFC to remain viable.
Here's why:
The WAC is on the verge of coming apart. With Cal Baptist, Grand Canyon and Seattle leaving(and rumors of Utah Valley) leaving to the Big West, WCC and MWC the WAC will be down to 6 schools(5 if Utah Valley leaves)
That leaves 4 schools that play football hanging. Abilene Christian, Tarleton State could be fits for the Southland with Utah Tech and Southern Utah fits with the Big Sky.
That being said what's to prevent the Summit from going to Utah Tech and Southern Utah saying come join the Dakotas upgrade ST Thomas to Scholly and voila they have an auto-bid eligible league and don't have to go to Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, or Ohio anymore.
In addition Northern Colorado is already a 2 sport affiliate of the Summit you bring them fully into the conference and it doesn't matter if St Thomas goes full scholly.
If this happens the MVFC is down to 6 and loses auto-bid.
UNI needs to watch this VERY closely.Oh, and let me make this perfectly clear to you people: you go to UNI, NOT IOWA. The Hawkeyes and their fans do not give a crap if you remain "true to them" or some stupid self-fulfulling bullcrap like that.-OTP
What i say are my opinions and mine alone, and not that of anyone associated with me.

I don't care about any of this to be honest. I think its hilarious these FCS leagues and schools attempting to power play some grand conference alignment schemes when there is literally zero money at stake at this level. Pointless exercise. Leagues should be regional, and travel should be minimized. The end.UNI FIGHT

I'm confused as the why the Dakotas would rather travel to middle of nowhere Utah because they don't want to go to Indiana anymore in this scenario. They are both 1k miles away from middle of nowhere Dakota. Makes no sense.

I use the photo of burning a house down because of a spider as a genuine reflection of what they are willing to do for revenge over it
