Too funny. Even when you are clearly wrong you think you are right. You said you would argue that Iowa is better than ISU. If you want to pretend like that is accurate at this point in the year, good luck.

I think thats possible, but only if 2 of the 3 (ISU, Siena, and BC) are tournament teams.

Otherwise, I think we need 13-5 with a BB win, and 2 wins in St. Louis, or 14-4 with a win in St. Louis. As we have seen with ISU and CU the last couple of years, an MVC team needs a ton of wins to get it done. I think we can do it.

First, congratulations to the team on a great win last night. We all would've taken a win by a point, but to beat a Siena team by a larger margin then anybody else this season was very impressive.

I originally thought UNI with seven or eight losses overall would have been in a good position for an at-large, and we all hope it doesn't come down to that, having played a pretty decent non-conference schedule, and if UNI played and beat a strong Bracketbuster opponent in Cedar Falls.

However, we shouldn't discount how Creighton's horrible non-conference play makes the MVC look bad, they haven't won a game outside of Omaha, and how Illinois State once again this season played a non-conference schedule that will probably have about a 275-300 RPI ranking at season's end. I don't get what's up with that with having the talent level they do. Didn't they learn any lessons how a weak non-conference schedule translates into not being an at-large team. I would now guess UNI probably will need to be at no more than about six losses to be an at-large team.

In the end, only UNI will have had a good non-conference resume among the MVC teams if BC, Iowa State, and Siena end up as NCAA Tournament teams or at least on the bubble. Also Denver could end up being a nice win if they are a 22+ win team in the Sun Belt.

There have been some comments about BC's play, and no they shouldn't have lost to Harvard for the second straight year. I think they are still playing without their best guard Rakeem Sanders. They will get better. The ACC top to bottom isn't that strong and BC can be a middle of the pack ACC team. Lets hope Mac gets Iowa State turned around for both his sake and UNI's RPI and they can be a middle of the pack Big 12 team.

I think Siena only had a couple MAAC losses last season so no more than 6-7 losses is very realistic for them. I'm guesing though their Bracketbuster game will be on the road since they played in Albany last season.

"Lot of people talked about Ohio State or Georgetown or Michigan State or whoever, [or] Maryland in our bracket. When the brackets came out, the first team I looked at was Northern Iowa," Kansas Coach Bill Self.

I'm going to quit beating this horse, because people can see it for what it is. Again, many thanks for being neutral and rational

thanks, people can once again see that i would ALMOST say that iowa is better than ISU. i picked ISU to win like everyone else.

as a i mentioned before, the home team typically wins this game. isu was likely better than iowa last year, and iowa destroyed them in carver. ISU was picked 8th in the big twelve and i will be shocked to see them finish higher. i dont see your point unless your point is to prove my point.

You mean like the Iowa fans who picked Iowa to beat UT-SA, UNI, Duquense, Wichita State and Iowa State?

I saw, and heard, a lot of Hawk fans picking Iowa win all of those games...and a couple of them by double figures...

You said that the loses to UNI and NW were bad because Clone fans had them pegged as wins....Iowa fans had all of the games I listed pegged as wins, some by double figures, like I said.

WTF? i wasnt the guy who claimed that Iowa was winning the games they were supposed win, like the cyclones posters are.

i simply say that ISU is bad and Iowa is worse.

You claimed that ISU fans had the UNI and NW game "in the bag". Just like many of the Iowa fans I know had the UNI, ISU, Duquense, UT-SA, etc... games in the bag

this is the quote i am talking about. your comments about iowa are probably true, but no one is refuting that. people look at the outcome of the game and say that I was way off base with my assessment of ISU vs. Iowa as if i was predicting an iowa win. the point remains that ISU is not going to win many BXII games unless they show drastic improvement. i have not called iowa a good team, nor have i called them a better team than iowa state.

i live in DSM, surrounded by clone fans. they were ready to lynch MAC before the iowa game and things arent much better now. when season is done, you will be able to say that ISU is better than iowa, but we are just talking about different levels of suck. except that iowa has a chance to return the core of their team while ISU loses their two best (by a long shot) players.
