The same reason UConn is ranked in the coaches poll. I've watched them play twice and there offense is brutal. They look clueless when there not running with it. If they get slowed down they are terrible offensively.

Barnes should have gone to UNI.

Was thinking the same thing...any good player can go to NC, UCONN, DUKE, etc and win a championship...but how about a good player going to a small school and helping them win one? Much bigger accomplishment IMO! Sounds like we need Dougy to help Barnes rethink his decision!

Lets get the Shockers tomorrow night and win a bunch more in a row to see if we can't crack the ten and get a real, real high seed come March!!

I agree, but even if we win out I don't see us getting any higher than a 3 seed. I'd be ecstatic with a 4-6 seed. I'd also be OK with a 11-13 seed. Let's just try to stay away from the 7-10 seeds. Winning more than one game as a 7-10 seed is nearly impossible.

Think we have a chance of staying in the poll if we go 1-1 this week? I would say, probably not, but I think it could be close, and we could re-enter it with a couple wins.

I would speculate we might just hang on in the AP poll at about 25 or something, and drop out of the Coach's poll, but remain right on the cusp of getting back in.

Hopefully we don't have to worry about it!

Very unlikely, but the good news is our schedule gets much easier after Tuesday. Three wins in a row (ISUblue, Drake, & MSU) gets us right back in the rankings for our home game against WSU.

According to the wise and knowing posters around here, any team in the top 25 (especially in the 20-25 range) that loses (especially to an unranked opponent) should immediately be ousted from the polls.
