  • ISU over UNI... are you upset?

First off... is everyone who posts at the game???

2nd - I'm not disapointed in the result, I knew we could easily lose this game. The only bothersome thing is that, with a few exceptions, UNI looked VERY passive. However, that could be simply a product of ISU being so aggressive.

Finally - I feel bad for ISU fans. I'd shoot myself if I had to listen to that announcing tandem the entire year.

Agree on the announcers. Had to mute it most of the time. We have to hit shots to be successful(obviously, just more than others because we don't create as much). Hilton is a tough place to win, and our shooting will come around. Need something out of our point guards as well.

Before you wonder "Am I doing things right," ask "Am I doing the right things?"

UNI needs a bench. You can't play aggressive when you are tired. Coleman can't play that many minutes.

I'm a little upset because we could have won this game. If we shoot anywhere near what we're capable of, we win. I thought the guys played well for the most part, but just din't knock down the open shots. That's part of the game though. Even with all of the shooting problems, we were still in the game, which is good. Watch out when the "O" starts clicking.

          Those announcers were awful.

Loosing pisses me off, regardless. Heck, I'd be pissed if we lost to Duke by 1 (moral victories are stupid), but thats just the way I am. That said, the shooting is still not where it needs to be and the FT's need to improve (50% freaking percent! I'm flying without statistical proof tonight, but have'nt we been among the national leaders in that category in recent years?). Certainly some positives tonight and UNI has always grown from these sort of losses (i.e. Cinci last year), but we did lose, so NJ is We'll be back though

Clark going out hurt in the first half was a big loss for ISU, I think he is thier most athletic player and he is good for 17pt per game. I need to see the Tivo of that. It looked like he came down pretty hard; it didn't look fun.

Yeah I'm home. It only takes a few minutes to get back home.

We had a pretty good turn out at Legends. I think everyone had fun.

Shooting was a disappointment but there will be nights like that, which is why you can't rely that heavily on the 3 ball. Would really like to see the Panther offense more aggressive, attacking the lane with penetration and kicking off to Stout and Coleman. Those two only need a small seam with the ball to get it to the basket and draw fouls. Need to see more 10-15 foot jumpers off the dribble. We're too good to settle for what we're getting on offense on a lot of possessions. We seem too content to run a series of guard hand-offs and perimeter passes that don't put any pressure on the defense and result in 3 or 4 possessions a night where we're rushed to get a shot off.

Defense seemed sluggish tonight compared to what we've seen in the past. Mac didn't go deep on the bench tonight so that might have contributed to that. Not sure why Santos didn't get a few minutes. Probably would have if the Panthers had a better offensive night.

We'll be alright over the long haul, but we're not quite there yet.

P.S. Eric Coleman is a bad man. Love the Coletrain's game.
Winning is more fun than losing.

lets face it, we are not as good as what everyone thinks we are. Every school in the nation just saw how to shut us down, PRESS and drop back into a zone. Coach mac is a good coach, but damn we looked like Crap out there. Seriously if we want to have any success in the MVC we better get a lot better before the season. I hate to say it, but Iowa is going to come into the Dome and do the same thing that ISU did and prob whip our ass. I hate to be Negative, but being a competitor i wasn't happy with tonights performance at all, they looked like ****, i hope they get better soon! Also i would prob start little over Mckowen, sorry but he is no real threat to the opposing team, he can't make a basket, at least little can score and also play D.

I agree with you NJ, my personality prevents me from being happy with a loss to anyone...especially the Clones, but some silver lining. I suspect coach Mac is going to say more of what he has been saying all year. We executed the offensive game plan, controlled the tempo for the most part, but just didn't hit shots. Defensively we played ok...more breakdowns than in previous games and we had no answer for Stinson. Would have been nice to come out with a win...and could have, but we need to continue the trend of peaking at the end of the year.

Don't get down. Hilton is tough to play at. The bench can improve and more importantly Coach needs to start coaching to not use the bench. Make better use of time outs and tv time outs. Give guys like Coleman as much rest as possible.

booo! Hissss! I disagree with just about everything you have said. They will get back on the right track. Losing a game at Hilton is not that big of a deal when you're looking at the whole season.
