Koch Arena alone is worth -4.

Koch Arena is not with a 4 point win regardless. It might be worth 4 points compared to a neutral court.

I think based on the previous matchup I would favor us by 5-6, minus playing at Koch should put it +1 to -1.

i think it's a wash...and everyone knows the GD crew will pick WSU to win...when was the last time people really thought we were an underdog....Game 1 against WSU?

I also feel Marshall will throw a triangle and 2 at us with Tutt and (insert hottest 3 pt shooter at time) as the other. Switching to a Matchup zone and doubling Seth. I think Marshall learned his lesson last game playing tuttle straight up mano y mano.

Marshall isn't changing his entire philosophy as a coach after one game. He's not going to gimmick defense us.

He is going to double Tuttle and leave shooters some this time, however.

According to this, their home court is worth 2.6 points, slightly less than Bradley. That link is 3 years old, however.

This says it's worth 4.81 points. That link is only a few days old.

That sounds about right to me. The last link puts our home court at 3.99.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a DI college team play a triangle and two.

Rick Majerus use to run it all the time. His was super effective. I remember Bucknell running it against Kansas and Butler. I mean you can really mask it as a man to man at times too since the TRI is a zone and typically those 3 actually are very near a player in their zone it looks like a man to man. It happens more than you think. It's my 4th set defense I run behind Man, a trapping 1-2-2 and 1-3-1.

I think Bilas picks UNI to win. He has been blowing that horn a lot lately. For good reason.

Speaking of Gameday do any of you want to come and help pack the place? Lol I am worried a Saturday morning with potentially bad weather will leave some home to watch it on TV. I think it will still be a fun atmosphere. Just concerned the impact of bad weather if it does arrive.

The game itself will be packed though!

Maybe since the KU/UT game isn't living up to expectation the Gameday crew will see the weather and decide they should just stay in Wichita all day instead.

Strongly doubt it...Tuttle will get his well deserved minutes of convo...but they will be drooling and talking for hours about Baker and Van Fleet...the 31 game home winning streak. And interesting fun fact they could talk about is how UNI started the year by ending a 34 game home win streak and could do the same to the 31. They'll spend their 30 minutes or so talking about each teams lack of strength of schedule but being the class of the Valley, and who each team could pick off in the tourney (and our seeds). I'd say when discussing the two...WSU will get 67% of the convo.

sounds about right, especially considering how WSU has been in the national spotlight much more than UNI of late, given their recent tourney runs.
