2015 vs 2010: Who would win?

Opinions may change when the season is over. We cannot see the entire body of work of the 2015 team. 2010 team was battled tested and delivered the goods.

I heard on the radio yesterday from one expert that WSU has not beat a team all year that he feels will be in the tournament.

The schedules that each teams have played are eerily similar. This years team has simply not had the letdown games that 2010 had to terrible teams and is rampaging bad teams by 15+ points night in and night out.

2010 had losses to god awful Evansville, Bradley, and Depaul teams.

There's still a lot of season left, but to this point, 2015 is more accomplished.

1990 is going back a long time ... it was a different game.

I think the 2015 team has too much quickness, size, and shooting/scoring on the perimeter. They win 7 out of 10 against the 2010 team. I don't agree that Ali is the best shooter ... very streaky (although some of the hot streaks have created some very fond memories for us all - so respect to him!). Love Kwadzo and his leadership, but Wes might turn out to be better ... he disrupts on the defensive end and he can sure attack the rim. If you make a team right now out of the 2010 & 2015, here it is:

Starters: Kwadzo, Bohannon, Morgan, A. Koch, Tuttle
Bench: Egleseder, Ali, Washpun, Buss, Jesperson

That's a final four team right there.

It's awesome that we are to this point in our program where we can debate the greats and assemble dream teams. I can't wait to see where the 2015 team finishes!

What if the current team loses twice to WSU and doesn't win a game in the tournament? Would people really pick the 2015 team? Because they lost to vcu on the road and beat WSU once at home? That would be a joke compared to what the 2010 did.

Probably less debate, but that was the best UNI team until possibly this year.

I wasn't watching UNI in '90. I graduated in '07 and moved back to CF in '11, and have been to every home game since. Being that UNI plays 2 groups of five, I would have: Kwadzo, Washpun, Morgan, A Koch and Tuttle, and then sub Deon, Ali, Buss, Marvin and Egleseder. And I would give anything to get Eric Coleman into the mix. Nobody fired up a crowd like #2.

I'd take the 2010 team. They were absolute masters at controlling the pace and I think they'd slow it down and make the 2015 team uncomfortable with their defense.

Then again, 2015 Jake could probably come up with a gameplan to outwit 2010 Jake.

If you make a team right now out of the 2010 & 2015, here it is:

Starters: Kwadzo, Bohannon, Morgan, A. Koch, Tuttle
Bench: Egleseder, Ali, Washpun, Buss, Jesperson

Replace Bohannon with Ben Jacobson, put Crawford and Stout on the bench. There's your all last-decade team.

I think the season needs to play out. The 2015 team beat unlv and Kansas. This years team biggest win is against WSU who arguably has zero really good wins.
