    Re: Incoming Recruits

After watching Austin in some of his highlight videos on youtube, wow. He's pretty quick and can jump. He reminds me of Wes with a better jumper. We'll see if his game translates from DMACC to UNI though. He looks like he could be another playmaker off the bench with Wyatt.

He'll have 2 years of eligibility, right? Also, any idea why he wasn't starting towards them end of the year at DMACC (assuming the game log on his NJCAA player page is correct)?
To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

I watched the beginning of the semi final game. He started that. He looks pretty good, will be a nice addition. I only watched for a few minutes but he made a couple nice plays including draining a 3 which prompted the announcer to say "Thats why he is going to Northern Iowa"

I would like to know more about Ted too. Has anyone been in on practice to see if he has made any strides this season? I am hoping he can develop into a Grant Stout type player.

A good resource to see the current status where we stand with commitments, offers, etc.
Looking at WSUs list...man they could take a lil step back after next year, losing Fred, Ron, Wessel, Waku,

Then i go and look at their incoming class, good PG, top 100 SG,...hate the shox.

Its frustrating because it always feels like our programs are on that trajectory and then somehow another team in the conference ends up doing it instead. With football its NDSU, with basketball with WSU.

Ted has made strides. He has always been a good physical defender... this is why he started at the beginning of his career. His offense has been his downfall and it still isn't great but he has made strides working in the right direction. Bennett has the ability to be great. I have told people this from day one that he has a chance to be the best player in panther history and the most dominate if he puts his mind to it. I just hope that Jake gets after him a little bit more this off season to set a fire within.

Jordan had way better offensive ability coming in with decent hands, honestly his problem was his lack of athleticism.

he was slow and a defensive liabilty due to that slowness for awhile. turned out well in the long run tho.

Welcome Lincoln...although you've always been a part of the Panther family!
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

Lincoln is a GREAT young man and will be a tremendous addition to the UNI Panther Basketball program. Don't be surprised if he is a major contributor before he is done.
"This program is the most important thing. It was here before we were here, and it will be here after we leave. Right now, we represent this program and this university. We represent the community, we represent the state, and we will do everything that we can to put UNI football at the level we're proud of and always have been at this university. When I'm talking about this program, I'm talking about alumni. This place is important to them, just as it is to me." - Mark Farley, Football Coach

I don't like to be surprised by success. I think we expect all new recruits to be major contributors as this point in the program's continuing evolution.

They do not all work out, but on signing day that is the expectation.

Expectations for UNI are high so I hope Lincoln understands he needs to step it up.

                              Dissapointed if he does not.

He's a walk-on. He had some DII offers and was a good high school player on a bad team, it'll be interesting to see if he can contribute in the future.

Pump. The. Breaks. This isn't a kid we're relying on to play 20 minutes a night next year and he's not taking a scholarship. Pump. The. Breaks.
