  • Well I wasn't suggesting we start Dahl along with Luke and play them together for 30 minutes, just that it would be nice to see the pairing once in awhile when the situation allowed. It would not be two big men in the lane because Luke doesn't play in the lane on offense and he is a liability in the lane on defense. Instead of feeding a guard cutting to the lane he could feed Dahl in the lane pretty effectively from his high post spot I believe. Some of you act like the world would end if we had two big players on the court at the same time. Two points on that theory, 1) how much worse could anything be then our play the first 2/3 of the season and 2) you might find this hard to believe, but it used to be pretty standard to play 3 big men at the same time (C,F,F). The current thinking may lean to a 4 guard lineup, but we as much as any team knows well that when you live by the 3 you often die by the 3.

Actually one of the most encouraging things about the recent 4 wins is that we neither lived nor died by the three.
      3pt shooting: (vVal:5-15, vMSU:3-9, vEvn:7-26, vISUr:8-28) Total: 23-78 =0.29)
We didn't shoot the three ball as well as our season average, yet found another way to win.
This team has potential to do some damage. I'm looking forward to tomorrow night and St Louis!

You've got the ISUr game wrong, we were 16-31 in that game. Doesn't discount that we did not shoot well in the other three, but we also weren't as good defensively against ISUr while we were hot from deep.

Was thinking the exact same thing, even crazier is we put up point totals of 77, 73, 63 (46 in second half), and 64 in spite of those 3 point shooting struggles. We are second in MVC play not only for efficiency, but scoring in general at just under 67/game. That's really tough to do playing the pace we play.
