This. No matter who we play if we're playing good offense with decent defense we've got a great shot at just about anyone. I would say that we have a better shot with teams who are unfamiliar with our style of play. Hence why we can beat a good Colorado team and go toe-to-toe with WVU but also lose to teams like ISUr and SIU.Originally posted by 06panther10 View PostIt doesn’t matter what seed we are. We can beat any team in America this year.
Just have to get in.

What a crazy year with the amount of offense this year. Never would have thought I'd see the day. When we make it, I hope that we are seeded favorably that allows us to have a bit of a run. This team deserves it. Imagine that this team will likely only be better next year...If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

He's been a blessing this season. He has a tendency to get into foul trouble at times but you can say the same thing about a lot of players. Earlier in the season there were times that Dahl was outplaying him. Not anymore.Originally posted by sevelev711 View Post
If we didn't have AJ Green, everyone would constantly be raving about how good Phyfe is. Dude's been crushing it, at a high efficiency (shown here), and has been playing some quality defense in the post as well. Certainly "good enough" defense. Very exciting that the main three point shooter and the main post player are both sophomores on a team that's already so good at both aspects."And immediately, (P'Allen Stinnett's) Facebook status was spouting vulgarities towards the university."

Our core players will be experienced-Berhow, Phyfe, Green and Pickford, but then we only have 3 other players (the freshmen) that will have, somewhat limited so far, D-I experience on the squad. We're going to be very inexperienced outside of the top 4 next year.Originally posted by UNIAlum95 View PostWhat a crazy year with the amount of offense this year. Ben Jacobson coached teams = 2
UNI teams coached by everyone ban thinks is better = 0

So assume Phyfe's stays on this pace for the rest of the year. Is he first time all-conference or are they going to default to the senior in Krutwig?Originally posted by sevelev711 View Post

They'll both be on it. Right now first team is pretty easy--Green, Krutwig, Freeman-Liberty, Key, Phyfe.Originally posted by UNIAlum95 View Post

Scary thing is all 5 of those players are back next year. League is going to be the best its been since Wichita and Creighton were still around next year.Last edited by BCPanther; 01-31-2020, 02:58 PM.

Ya, we lose by far the most of anyone, and still bring back arguably 4 of our top 5 players, including presumably 2 first team all conference guys and a second team all conference guy. Another year of Mullins, Devries will have another year of recruiting, Bradley and LUC will be good again, the MVC is going to at minimum be 5-6 quality teams deep next year. Just need teams to schedule like it.Originally posted by BCPanther View Post

Defense:
#1 and #3 are higher in Defensive Rating and blocks.
DBoxPM favors #3 with #2 a little better than #1.
OBoxPM favors #1 with
Offense:
#2 is higher in Off Rating.
#1 is the worst on 2Pt%, but also shoots some 3s at a pretty good rate. But even with his 3ptrs, #1 still has the lowest EFG%
#2 has about double the assists the others have.
While #2 and #3 are higher in 2pt%, #1 has taken more 2ptrs than #2 and #3 combined.
Overall, all three have high PORPAGATU!, BoxPM, DefRating, and OffRating.
They are: (not in order) Phyfe, Garza, Azubuike.

Now that you mention it, I've never seen Mudra and Spanish Moon in the same room at the same time....
