It looks like Bowen has gotten started with his shop. I would love to help support these players this year. What are your thoughts on NIL?

I do like that BB logo with the 13 weaved in.

He's playing the game the way the game is now played. And probably learning a lot along the way.

    Good for him.

I've noticed Bowen and AJ have had or will have camps this summer also. Which makes a bit of sense, AJ will likely play in the NBA some day and I'm guessing Bowen's dad (former NBA scout) will help out a bit. Good for these guys though, might as well try to make a few bucks while working with younger kids too.
To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

CyCarp, I agree! They might as well make some money if they can.

Sadly, 20 bucks isn't a ton for a new shirt. Might pick one up. Only like 70% of my shirts are UNI/CFHS shirts, gotta bump those numbers up.

One of my boys attended AJ's camp last week. Phyfe reffed his scrimmages. Berhow was helping, as was Greene's sister. Got a nice shirt, too. It was highlighted on the Channel 7 news at 10:00 on Thursday night if you want to look for the clip.
"...the Northern Iowa men's basketball team reached the ultimate highs before hitting a devastating low. Unexpected success, followed by unimaginable failure. And they owned it -- all of it -- for the world to see. Like men. Like leaders. Like champions -- in a way no tournament bracket could ever define."

For the players themselves this will actually provide some good experience.

Learning how to organize and run a camp to leave your customers happy with their experience...and how to make a profit at the same time...some great experience.

You're not just showing up to sign some autographs and shoot some 3's...you're involved in the planning and execution.

I really don't need any more T-shirts, nor do I want to attend a basketball camp. Can I just give a $1,000 to Bowen Born so he won't transfer?

How about buying several hundred shirts and donating them to Salvation Army upon receipt? That will be one way NIL works.

Hopefully this all works out for the players involved. I agree with others. Staging and running a camp is some great real world experience, and hopefully they made lots of cash.

There should be a signed option for $50/shirt.

Would it be "legal" for the players to just set up something like a GoFundMe page where they could just get direct cash contributions rather than go through the pretense of selling things?

Its a cool logo. I should buy one just to have a random logo in KC lol. It has a bit og Big Baller Brand vibe to me. I dont want to be associated with that though

                          I don't believe so.

I think there is a "market rate" component to the NIL rules...not sure how you could demonstrate a market rate for straight cash contributions.

There are probably going to be thousands of tee-shirts for random SEC players that you've never heard of that eventually wind up in the hands of impoverished 3rd world citizens.

Sure, but I would pay 50$ for a signed one. If I knew that I was one of many, I'd pay 100. So that's the market rate. What people will pay.
