Updated stats for the former Panthers. Get to see Wolf in person on Saturday and given our complete lack of outside shooting, I sure hope he doesn't go off for 20+ against us (or if he does it is in a 20+ point loss).

    Michael Duax (FGCU)
    GP - 15, Min - 20.7, FG% - 37.5, 3P% - 0, FT% 62.5, Reb - 4.7, Ast - 1.3, Blk - 0.7, Stl - 1.8, PF - 2.7, TO - 1.2, Pts - 3.8
    Bowen Born (CSU)
    GP - 15, Min - 17.2, FG% - 32.9, 3P% - 26.1, FT% 93.8, Reb - 1.8, Ast - 2.2, Blk - 0, Stl - 1.7, PF - 1.4, TO - 1.0, Pts - 5.1
    Logan Wolf (ISUr)
    GP - 16, Min - 23.9, FG% - 46.9, 3P% - 41.1, FT% 64.7, Reb - 3.6, Ast - 1.0, Blk - 0.1, Stl - 0.7, PF - 2.3, TO - 0.3, Pts - 7.8
    Nate Heise (Iowa State)
    GP - 14, Min - 19.3, FG% - 47.9, 3P% - 31.8, FT% 66.7, Reb - 2.4, Ast - 1.1, Blk - 0.1, Stl - 1.0, PF - 1.5, TO - 0.6, Pts - 4.2
    Cole Henry (Wyoming)
    GP - 15, Min - 18.0, FG% - 60.9, 3P% - 0, FT% 51.4, Reb - 3.8, Ast - 1.3, Blk - 0.4, Stl - 0.3, PF - 2.3, TO - 1.5, Pts - 6.4
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

I looked at the numbers for all of them. I don't feel like aggregating them like 95 did, but they are all worse than they were on Jan 9th.

Duax is significantly worse than he was for us last year, but has equal total numbers because he's playing 10 more minutes per game and volume.
Bowen's playing time has all but disappeared. He's played 15+ minutes twice since 12/8. Still shooting 32%. Going to go down after tonight as he's 1-4 overall and 0-2 from 3 with <2 left in the game and he is no where near playing.
Wolf is statically the same exact player he was here, while shooting worse %. He just plays 22ish mpg vs 14 here and starts every game When I say statistically the same player it's within a couple tenths of a point in almost every single stat
Henry's numbers are all down from what they were on the 9th. He went from starting every game to not starting 3 of the last 5 and playing sub 10 minutes in 2 of them.
Heise? Well, the majority of the online presence of the Cyclone fan base seems to hate the fact he exists as a human and view him the same way Duax was seen by UNI fans last year. Actually, Duax probably had more forgiveness from UNI fans that Heise has from ISU fans.

I obviously watch Nate with a bias as I feel he is playing his role very well. He is not expected to be playing Gilbert's role.

And it’s notable that at least in our two games he hasn’t been on the floor in crunch time.

He's terrified to shoot the ball. He's shooting 24% from 3 and hasn't made one in 3 weeks. His rebounding rate has fallen off a cliff his minutes have steadily decreased since league play started.

He's obviously their 9th guy now with Momcilivic back and only got 16 minutes in an blowout yesterday.

He's literally not doing the things that they brought him in to do.

Shows the massive gap between top level teams in NCAA and the "mid" majors that NIL and free for all transfers has created.

My current player rankings (current roster + those who transferred last year):

                Tytan
                Hutson
                Trey
                Leon
                Ben
                HEISE
                BORN
                Taylor
                Max
                Hornseth
                Cael
                WOLF

past these guys, it’s kind of a mix of walk on types:

                Polk
                DUAX
Born (not really fair, 18 yr old with a pretty big upside)
                Rubin
                HENRY

I love Bo, but he is MUCH too high on this list. At this point with his injury issues he's a shorter version of Wolf.

i could be wrong but i swear i saw Hiese at the UNI game yesterday... and made me think how fun this team would be with him on it... it could have been a doppelganger but also possible with the early start in Ames yesterday.

I believe his girlfriend is one of the volleyball players so it may easily have been him.

Bo got some extra minutes last night and I had the chance to watch a bit. He just struggled. He didn't shoot it well, but he played his butt off. He used to be such a sniper but that seems to have just disappeared. Mountain West is such a different style of ball, too. I'm all for some physicality, but their league is ridiculous. He just seems like such a bad fit for the way that conference plays.

They joined the Big Ten officiating consortium and the style of play has trended that was hard.

I took a bit different look at a comparison of total points by transfers out compared to total points of 4 transfers in

transfers out (5 players) YTD points
                              Michael Duax (FGCU) 138
                              Bowen Born (CSU) 108
                              Logan Wolf (ISUr) 182
                              Nate Heise Iowa State 79
                              Cole Henry (Wyoming) 134
                              total 641

transfers in (4 players) YTD points
                              Cael Schmitt 39
                              Max Weisbrod 139
                              Ben Schwieger 237
                              Leon Bond 218
                              total 633

transfers out average 128 transfers in average 158

That's really cool to read, actually.

For all of the intra-state hate between the fan bases, and for the dual fans like me who get it from both sides it is nice to see that athletes from the different schools support each other. I remember reading a few years ago that Georges Niang and Naz Long from ISU were in attendance for the 2015-16 game when we beat #1 North Carolina in the McLeod Center.
