Poor use of data. Misleading. You included only the most affluent area of Cedar Falls while excluding the areas of Boston where the homicide rate. Massachusetts has a lower rate than Iowa for what is rate. Either way it's a dumb argument to be having, the violent crime create in both areas is low and I would say that no recruit should be giving this much thought when making their college decision.

It's also just out of date data. It's dropped significantly since then, it's down to around 4 or 5 per 100k now.

I think this just shows how anxious we all are for news about any signings...kind of like watching a WWII movie where things are tense and everyone in the sub is stressed and gettin' on each other's nerves.... We'll be fine (as much as a message board can be) once we get back to harbor, so to speak.

I will also say, Butler fans were not broken up at all about him leaving. Defensively in particular, he was apparently horrible. Slow feet, wrong place, etc. They also vented about the fact he shot a lot of threes with low percentage every time he was in.

I wanted him, and I think our staff could've helped him improve, but I don't think it was as much of a slam dunk as it initially appeared.

I tried to not stare, but it looked like the kid was wearing a Concordia shirt. Any idea who's in the portal from Concordia? Not a big guy either, I'm guessing he was 6'3"ish.

Edit: apparently it’s only 8 and they are all the same system. 8 seems way to low.

Second edit: I'm finding more outside of the Concordia System. I'm pretty sure there is more Concordias than Loyola's or "MSU"s

Well. I was eating my salad and drinking a beer, then PJ came back. I chatted him up (we're both from Dubuque and have a common friend but had never met) for a few minutes, then the recruit and his dad came back down. I never got to ask about him, said hi to his dad, told PJ later, and they took off. No further info to report, neither dad nor recruit had a team shirt on this second time. He doesn't look like any of the Concordia Minnesota kids. TBH looks kind of like the Courbat's, except not 6'10". Looking at rosters, he looked kinda like the kid below, but I'm just throwing darts here. I'm beginning to doubt whether he was actually wearing a Concordia shirt when he walked in. I'll call it a fail and be done for the night, lol. REGARDLESS, I can confirm the coaches are out there working!
