In addition, rumor has it that CA ran BB across the 'pond', where Boothby picked up Qadaffi while Anderson delivered Qadaffi to the rebels.... When CA and BB returned the news of the deposed dictator had not even broken... (about an hour and a half later is when CNN reported Qadaffi's capture)

BTW, they only missed five minutes of practice

hey all...came across this website on AGS...pretty cool to compare teams right now to FBS vs. FCS and all.

If we played Iowa right now it says we would lose by 3. We would beat #1 GA Southern by 3, and beat the Cyclones by 1 in a rematch at Jack Trice. It also predicts UNI is a 27-3 winner for this weekend vs. SIU but a 17-16 loser in Fargo next week.

and basketball related...we'd be a 3 pt favorite (64-61) at home over mighty Creighton

This model seems to be based on season to date wins/losses only, right?

Look at the bottom, where the best win and average opponent rate is shown. NDSU's average opponent is 100 places below UNI's.

NDSU is favored only because the game is in fargo.

my computer calculations say that the world is ending today, so none of that matters.

Yippers... I just ran it switching the game to the dome. UNI wins 15-19. Neutral site? Well, we win by 1, 16-17.
So, is the computer saying that the FargoShed is closer to a neutral site than the Dome?

The one thing the computer has right (IMO), we are two very good, very close teams.

Got a feeling this will be a close game tomorrow. Obviously hoping for a blowout against SIU but would be more surprised with a blowout than a game decided by two scores or less.

My brother is getting married today. I have a cousin who went to SIU law. My uncle pulls in yesterday in his SIU polo, and my normally very reasonable wife starts giving him the business about Flying Saluki Dogs who eat children and this and that.

The uncle was dumbfounded. Love this game. Go Cats!

This game is over at the half.

                      UNI - 31

                      SIU - 6

He was probably caught off guard by getting the verbal beating by your wife and not you. Good of you to hold back and let her have her way with him. Now you can just sit back and take the high road as the real ass-whoppin unfolds today. You'll look like a king.

Does anyone besides me find it strange that the ONLY story in the CR Hawkzette today about UNI v. SIU is about a FORMER Iowa player that plays for the OPPOSING team? Wonder what Mr. Johnson will have to say tomorrow?

Honestly.. It doesn't surprise me. Number 2 in the nation, and still slim to no coverage down here in Des Moines. It's really just sad, the Cardinal and Gold and the Black and Gold blinders are getting bigger every year.

The Gazette never gives UNI any coverage. Its kind of sad.

Edit: Sad for The Gazette, not for UNI, we'll win whether or not they cover us.
