Sounds like he just wanted a resume for a HC job one day.

“He is a Bison lifer but in recent years he has had a wandering eye for other coaching jobs in previous years. Last year he interviewed at East Tennessee State for their head coaching job and a month ago with player support, he interviewed for NDSU’s open head coach position but finished second to Tim Polasek. Roehl was given the title of Assistant Head Coach at NDSU to go along with his role as the offensive coordinator but the one thing that has nagged him in interviews was his lack of resumè as he has only coached at NDSU other than one season across the river as an assistant coach at Moorhead High School.”

I'd hate to hire a coach who's only been at a program that has done nothing but win.

ND now in the market for an OC for the 3rd time.

Anyone have any back story on Roehl's decision to go to TSU?

Every other HC there has spent time outside. I understand it.

Seeing some positive buzz for Khristian
            Boyd at the shrine bowl
Practices for the East-West Shrine Bowl kicked off on Saturday in Frisco, TX, marking the start of NFL draft season for many. Four Chargers representatives were spotted in attendance, as well as our team at Chargers Wire. Here’s who stood out on the defensive side of the ball…

Seems like a promising coach, probably won't be here long, but that is a good thing, if they are moving up.

USC Graduate Assistant Trey Tinsley hired as receivers coach. Played quarterback for Mike Leach at Wazzu as well.

Everything points to going full Air Raid. This might be all kinds of fun.

Don't get excited if you see full on Air Raid during the spring game. It's something they put in the discounted sodas.

Is there a QB currently on the roster with the skill set to run this? Now that Day is gone, I know there are a couple of younger QBs who are well thought of. It doesn’t seem like total coincidence that you’d hire two guys with this background and not have someone tee’d up to start.

                            He's actually got 3.

Transfer from Arkansas State that played a version there. Kammrad ran a version at Lewis Central and McThenia coming in has big time arm talent.

It's probably a good fit because nobody in the league runs it and we're not going to out-physical the Dakotas anymore.

Ha! The jacks and bison are licking their chops already. At best 7-5. Might get to a road first round playoff at 7-5. Seven wins is not impressive with Valpo and St Thomas on the docket.

A few additional coaching changes for UNI.

Brady Rohach who coached TEs last year has moved on to Wayne State and we've added Brian Folkerts from Wingate (same school Falk was at). Folkerts has some NFL experience.

Also added LaQuentin Black as safeties coach. He came from Hutchison CC.
