      Re: BracketBusters

I saw in a press release from this afternoon that Boise St, Nevada, and Utah St were picked for TV games. Could not find anything on MVC schools on TV, though.

It looks like UNI at Siena (if this guy is correct.)

Siena Saints Blog is a reader-run desk on Siena and the MAAC: a reference library on how mid-major college basketball works, plus 587 reports written between 2008 and 2013.
TH1974: This guy was all-UNI, and wanted to show it by pretending to play a non-existant musical instrument in public.

Speaking to a Valley source, UNI is at Siena. It won't be official until next week, but they thought possibly an 11 a.m. game (Iowa time) on Feb. 21.

If it is not official until next week, does that mean it is not a TV game?

No, it's a TV game. The tip times for the 13 TV games, however, aren't announced until next week.

                  What a power tool

The Panthers did not play a very challenging OOC schedule but are currently 10-1 in the MVC. Their lone loss is to last place Indiana State at home in OT. Basically my point is, with that kind of consistency, who knows if this team will sit atop the MVC at the end of the season.
Yes. We've won 10 in a row. We're erratic at best.

That team lost at HOME to Wichita State!!!

So we're playing in one of the top 3 games that Saturday? Time to show some people what we're made of . . . especially East coast people.

If that's true, playing the #20 RPI team is a good get for us, and becomes the biggest game of the year, IMHO.

It was in a tourney in Florida.

They are the top home RPI in BracketBusters. Of course, they were all certain that they would get the top road RPI (Butler) and that is where their anger is coming from.

They're from the freaking MAAC !! The MAAC is likely to get 3 TV games because they have a few decent RPI teams at home this year, when there are relatively few sub-100 teams.

I like the match-up. Should be a good chance for us to put a resume win, even if it isn't a huge name, it could be a big boost to our RPI. An 11 am game would be fine, we've already done that at Drake, plus it should allow the team to get home by Saturday night.

Siena didn't lose to Wichita State at home. It was in Orlando on a neutral court -- part of the Old Spice Classic. Wichita is the Saints' worst loss.
Their losses are to: Kansas, Tennessee, OK State, Pittsburgh and Wichita State.
This is a team that hammered Vanderbilt by 20 in the opening round of the NCAA tournament last year. Very talented, very guard-oriented and undersized.

My fault, I just saw the "vs." on the schedule and assumed a home game.
