Good win last night, I'll ride the winning streak with a wager until they lose. The 3 point shot is a great weapon isn't it....

Instead we get a TOUGH UNI team that is under the radar and have to travel next year. Its pretty much the complete opposite of what we were looking for... sans the RPI help.
I think that is quite a fair and valid reasoning.

You haven't been an idiot, but initially referring to our team as "meaningless" and whining about the draw, is a slap in the face.

If we were in Siena's position, we'd be disappointed too in wanting a marquee game. Looking forward to seeing two red hot teams play in this game.
If computers ruled college basketball the way they do football, we'd have skipped all this March Madness monotony and just waited a month for the Kansas-Kentucky title game. And watched Northern Iowa play Cornell in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl. ~ Dwight Perry The Seattle Times

How so? They were rewarded with one of the top 3 Bracketbuster games on Feb. 21. What is there to be disappointed with?

jman, quiet. They will call you a jackoff on their website, just like they did me. It really hurt my feelings.

I don't get how for the first 24 hours since the selection all they did was ***** and moan and cry. When they we called them on it, all of a sudden we are the bad people and the jackoffs. Good to know.

Looks like Siena fans aren't alone, here's what Andy Katz had to say about it:

"Northern Iowa at Siena is another quality game, but it's the wrong opponent for Siena. Northeastern should be playing the Saints. Instead, Northeastern was stuck playing at Wright State in a game that does nothing but hurt the Huskies."

                  Read his whole breakdown at:

I still don't agree with it, but eh, I've taken it far past beating a dead horse. I guess we just have to win and show 'em all how good we are!

You paint with broad strokes Mr. Clenz. The one poster that commented, commented on one poster over here. That was one commenting on one. Not saying that person was fair commenting like that.

The posts I've read here are very similar to the Siena forums. A mix of characters. To generalize either group is unfair.

It will be around 2 hours tops. Upstate NY is an easy trip. I'm also pretty sure you can fly direct to Albany from O'Hare, although it's most likely via regional jets. Not exactly the preferred method for a B Ball team.

lets hope Butler smokes Davidson in a yawner and Utah State smokes St Marys without Mills and the UNI Siena game is extremely entertaining!

I don't like being called a jackoff by a douche that doesn't know me, and disrespects the UNI program when we are leading a better conference than you.

Glad it doesn't bother you though.

Granted, the MVC is a better conference then the MAAC so why do you even care was the fans of lowly old Siena think about your program? There wasn't a whole heck of a lot of respect towards Siena before and after the announcement.

But, again, I am a Siena fan who loved this matchup as soon as it was announced. (And, it should be noted, the poster who characterized you as a jackoff is not a regular poster on the Siena board.)

Lastly, can you carify which is worse, a jackoff or a douche?

Don't let it bother you. We are glad to have you here, and look forward to the match-up.

We saw the same thing from Clenz before the BYU and Richmond football games, as well as our Drake basketball game. He goes onto another message board to fight the good fight for UNI, and comes back complaining about the lack of respect UNI is getting.

                                Question for Siena fans:

What kind of crowd can we expect at the game? How big is your basketball facility, does it routinely sell out, etc? Thanks
