I was just reading on Valleytalk that ESPN2 is doing the 11am game; ESPNU isn't carrying any until late afternoon. Therefore, we're either a 360 game or on ESPN2.

Their losses are to: Kansas, Tennessee, OK State, Pittsburgh and Wichita State.

Take a look at their schedule. Those losses are the reason they have such a high RPI. Best win is against RPI #67, St. Joe's.

It is a HUGE game for us, no doubt, but winnable. I think they're better on paper than they are in person.

360 isn't necessarily "televised" is it? I thought the games announced today were the ESPN2 or ESPNU games? That would suck, to not see the game. I'll have to go spend more money at Mulligans . . .

Last I looked Orlando was 1200 miles from Albany. And please lets not talk about bad losses? I think N Iowa has had a few more than Siena.

Listen I know you guys have a good team- and you are red hot. I remember you guys came out to Siena when that loser Rob Lanier was head coach ( he got fired)

But don't expect Siena fans to be excited about this match up

It won't be on ESPN360. If I was putting odds on it, I'd say 70% chance on ESPN2, 30% chance on ESPNU. It's probably the third game in the pecking order.

There is no way it's going to. You're too focused on RPI, because it's an easy number to point to that you don't have to think about. It's half as important as you think it is, to the NCAA or anyone else.

How bad did ESPN screw Siena?

ESPN isn't tied to the RPI like you want them to be. The only game you'd be happy with would've required ESPN to break up the game they wanted the most - and that's just not going to happen. Instead, you get arguably the hottest team in the league, coming out of a league your RPI ranks more highly than your own.

Siena's best win: #67 St. Joe's

I think (if you would have read the last ten posts) that everyone is very clear that the game against WSU was a nuetral site game, the person who said it was a home game realized his mistake and owned up to it. Just thought I would bring to your attention that your first sentence on an opponents board seemed very "stand offish."

You have made it very clear that you are dissapointed. You had to understand that Butler and Davidson were going to get picked. With that in mind may I ask who else you would like? I would say getting the best team, from the best Mid-Major Conference is pretty darn good. But hey, maybe thats just me. I had no clue that you guy's resume was so strong. Aside from the fact that until today I had never heard of Siena, I am pretty happy with the draw.

I don't know who else you would've wanted to play? Butler? You should've known that wasn't going to happen . . .

Northeastern? RPI of 57 with a 15-6 overall record and only 4 top 100 RPI victories? If you wanted Northeastern, it must be because deep down you're scared of UNI . . .

Stop analyzing the RPI so much, outside of Butler, Davidson, Siena, and St. Mary's, UNI is the next best team in the mix, regardless of RPI. (At this point in time anyway). And if you're really as good as you think or your RPI suggests, then it shouldn't matter.

If we're as good as I think we are right now, it'll all even out in the end. Just enjoy a good game in a few weeks.

It says on Espn.com that the matchups are determined today, Feb. 2...Anyone know how they announce that? When do they do it?

Doing it right now. On ESPNU.

Utah State vs. St. Mary's
and
VCU vs. Nevada

are the only two announced so far.
