We had a 20 point lead on a couple of occasions. Iowa hit a 3 to cut it to 17 right at the end.

After you settle this, can you guys tackle the following:

      Pepsi vs Coke
Toilet paper roll out vs in
      Less filling vs tastes great
Thick crust vs thin crust pizza
Dry rub vs sauce on ribs
      Ginger vs Mary Ann

Not in the first half. I stand corrected - in the 2nd half with 2:09 remaining we led 67-47.

I'll take two of them... Dry Rub and Mary Ann.. How can there be any debate on that?

Now, putting dry rub ON Mary Ann.. That would be the ultimate.

We need a tongue in cheek emoticon. I'm with you. Anyone associated with UNI athletics should have been appalled by last nights debacle.

I was a dual fan cheering for UNI, watching the game with a die-hard UNI fan and a Clone who is an Iowa hater. neither of them thought the announcers were biased. there were certainly instances were they made an effort to find SOME good in iowa's game, but i feel that too many of you are mistaking this for Iowa bias. iowa was simply overmatched and there werent many things to talk about. also, several of you seem to be forgetting that iowa did cut a 20-something lead to 6 in the second half. are the announcers not supposed to recognize that simply because they are the UNI broadcasters?

my arguments in this thread have had virtually nothing to do with KWWL or Iowa, but rather how UNI fans manage to take any possible comment and twist it into some anti-panther conspiracy. it is very unbecoming.
Conspiracy? Not at all. Blatantly pro-Iowa. And unbecoming of them on the Panther Sports Network.

You are still correct, because Iowa didn't cut that lead to 6 as 9yr said they cut a 20 something lead to, which was wrong on two counts.

As for the announcer, I heard both of them I think struggling early on with Kwadzo's name. I think they were saying Uh hull leg buh, which isn't too far off all things considered. I think they just went with his first name later on and got it right.

I think they got everybody elses names right, but I wasn't listening to them all that closely because of the Iowa bias.

Eric Braley would be a MILLION times better than either of these two. By the way, being this is the PSN, did anyone hear one of the guys say "you are watching the Hawkeye Network"...or something like that. These guys either need to be put in their place by someone on the "up and up" or they need to be replaed...Eric would be a GREAT replacement. He did a great job covering for Gary in the Paradise Jam, and I'm sure would be a great "permanent" replacement for these guys!!! Horrible show.

Granted, it would be a little biased, but so are the TV guys. Might have to pay the radio guys a tad more because of the extra broadcast (or perhaps not, I don't know how that works), but it would still save money in the long run.
I love the idea Jay...saves money, and, if any bias should be used, it should be Panther bias, due to it being on the PSC!!!

Some might say it would be a little redundant, since radio pbp has to "paint the picture" of what's going on since people can't see it (where as they can usually see it on the TV broadcast, unless they're busy showing some graphic, or people in the stands, during the actual play). But I don't have a problem with that "redunancy".

And radio guys aren't going to be able "analyze" along with whatever stats graphics are put on the TV screen, or go off on as many tangents about player backgrounds and whatnot as TV announcers often do. But I don't see that as much of a loss.

I like the idea of synching the radio, too. The one big problem is the on-air commercials that the play-by-play guys do. Or get Braley and find someone else who can do color commentary-Jonathon Cox, Steve Phyfe's in the area, Randy Kraayenbrink is in Waverly, lots of purple clood we can draw from.

It's got to be better than Rick "I used the word ambidextrous and had nothing else to add" Coleman.

I would love to do it! But sadly I have a face for radio.

I'm content with my Upper Iowa gig at the moment.
