Kind of odd that he only reduced his list from 5 to 4 and only cut UNI from the list, maybe the coaching staff cooled on him. Or perhaps his coach, who is the one who tweeted that news just accidently left UNI off the list because, you know, we really aren't on a level with those other 4 schools.

Did he send Seth to us? I didn't realize that since he has been quoted as saying he wished Seth had waited longer to make a decision because he thinks he could have gotten better offers.

he certainly didnt say that he WISHED he would have waited, but he did say that seth would have had many more offers had he waited.

Can someone find an exact quote from a major news source? You and Gonzo are describing two different stances. If PN is going to bash this guy, at least have it be due to an verifiable, accurate quote.

9YR, what you're describing above is perfectly legit, and not anti UNI at all if that's the context. If, however, he is anti UNI to the benefit of some lesser (though higher conference) programs, then he deserves some scorn here.

Here are 2 quotes form the gazette article:

"Seth Tuttle of Sheffield is on the Barnstormers, and has accepted a scholarship offer from Northern Iowa. Johnson said college coaches have told him they wished Tuttle had waited, but Tuttle saw UNI as the right fit for him."


"In March, Uthoff leaned toward deciding between Northern Iowa and Creighton.
He was ready to commit not long after the state tournament,” said Johnson. “I told him I thought he needed to be patient. I said I thought good things were going to happen for him in the spring, great schools, good opportunities.”


I think UNI was a good opportunity. Mr. Johnson are you implying we are not?
