9YR, I have no idea where you got that $5k number from but I just did it, with the cheapest rooms, including flight from Orlando, and it was $2100. of course, that doesn't include getting to Orlando, (Chicago-Midway to Orlando on Southwest, for two people, is around $500) so let's say $3k. Then of course you'd need money for game tickets and food, etc. I'd say $5000 is a bit of an overstatement...

the food at Atlantis is insanely overpriced. i didnt see an all-inclusive option...its $125/day per person for food.

Haven't heard anything about that but I'd assume that's what'd happen. I can make it off two meals each day easily. That's definitely something I'd have to look into before making any set plans though.

And when looking at it last year, it seemed the only way to get tickets to the games was to stay at the resort. That's a bummer... But from their standpoint, makes perfect sense.

food, maybe. but the alcohol part scares me. ive done all-inclusives before and they dont count on many people like me and my friends. i singlehandedly destroy actuarial assumptions.

I know we all knew how crazy this field was, but I was just thinking about how the teams were this year besides us.
Duke- 2 seed. Theyll always be good
Missouri- 2 seed this year, they lose a lot i think
Louisville- in the Final 4 and dont lose much
VCU- 2nd round NCAA. ruturn quite a bit
Memphis- NCAA first round
Stanford- won NIT
Minnesota- Lost to Stanford in Championship of NIT

There really is a good chance that every one of those teams will be in the NCAA tournament. If we can win 2 or maybe even 1 we will be in good shape. Cant wait for it

I really hope they don't pair the mid-majors up against each other.

My preference (in order):

1) Duke
2) Louisville
3) Minny
4) Missouri
5) Everyone else
