He's always had 'stiff hips' and then felt something pop in the St Mary's game. Played through incredible pain in the Utah State game apparently.

If he always has had these "stiff hips" and the surgery (God willing) is successful, it sounds like he could come back in better shape than before. This short-term setback and subsequent surgery could end up being the best thing for him and the team.

My nephew, who is a Senior at CF and good friends with Landon Wolf, said that there are rumors going around that AJ may never play basketball again. Hopefully that's an unlikely worst case scenario, obviously.

Tbf that's a high school rumor lol. Let's wait and see a bit.

My Uncle's best friend's next door neighbor's brother's co-worker's mail man said he was going to switch to water polo.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

              • The Bradley series has been shifted. It will now be Sunday-Monday Jan 10-11. TV Info updated in top post.

Also the Drake game here has been assigned a 6:00 tip off by CBS Sports Net.

                • Are these games being shifted from Saturday-Sunday to Sunday-Monday because of TV? Also saw that first home football game is shifted from Saturday afternoon to Friday night in February. Obviously that far out it is not COVID related for either basketball or football, or is it because of other sports scheduling in McCleod and Dome?

The basketball shift is to give Bradley an extra day to deal with a couple positive COVID tests. The football change I have no idea.

                    • We're catching a bit of a break in the Bradley series. I read today that they haven't practiced together lately and won't until (I think) the 7th.
To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

Yep. 20 day layoff and, at best, two practices.

                        • I don't think there's a thread for next year yet and I haven't seen it mentioned here, but the game against Marshall that was cancelled in December will be played next season.

I'll start one. We have two known games at this point so might as well....

                            • I hate to put so much pressure on this weekend, but it could be make or brake. Bradley gets to 44.7 rebounds a game, has an assist to turnover ratio of 15.7 to 12.8, shoots a FG% of 44.9%. However, only shoots 31.9% from 3. They are only 70% from the line. I think they're on par with Loyola and better than Drake. This seems like the kind of team we'll have to beat to win the madness and make the tournament. They have been idle for 3 weeks and we're at home. We get both and the rest of the league will have their doubts when facing the Panthers. The coaching staff has the most on their shoulders. How to adjust to the current rotation? I'm not saying we're done, but what has happened doesn't appear to work. That might be a good new blog of suggested changes we need given our present talent level versus the conference. Go Panthers!!!!!!!!!

                              • They haven't played in 20 days and will only have one practice and a shootaround before they play us. Without AJ, they're better than we are but if there was a time to catch them, this is it.
