I don't even want to put it out there, but I'm really hoping that we don't overlook GCU, with such a short turnaround. They're not exactly world beaters this year but that's still a raucous environment and s##t happens. If we get to conference play with only 1 loss I think we'd be sitting pretty.

Beyond some silly turnovers and crappy shots, the team did amazing tonight. Mental toughness to not let games go is really key.Originally posted by skydog0784 View PostSounds like Berhow & Dahl were exceptional tonight. Green, Brown, and Haldeman outstanding as well. Solid contributions from several people.

True. If we snuck up on CU because of their Kansas game, GCU could sneak up on us because of this one.Originally posted by sevelev711 View PostI don't even want to put it out there, but I'm really hoping that we don't overlook GCU, with such a short turnaround. Berhow is out of this world good at the moment. It’s absolutely amazing how confident that kid is in his shot. Love his energy and attitude. Aj also starting to hit his stride over the last 2 weeks is making this team really good. As I mentioned earlier Dahl has been sooo good this year. That kid worked his ass off and I couldn’t be happier for that young man.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId=401170618 Short video on the end of the game. Shows the double team and Spencer's steal.
Dahl, Pickford, and Kimmons have become a heck of a bench. Kimmons mights not score all the time, but he puts pressure on the defense by driving. I love his energy.

Man, what a great, great win!
It's too bad it didn't work out with my schedule to make it down to Boulder from Steamboat Springs for this one, but I'll take a road win over a ranked team that I can't see in person any day of the week! If nothing else, this is what DVR is made for.
For anyone who could notice on TV or who might have been there live, was there a nice Panther contingent there?

From what I could tell on TV, it looked like there was a decent showing. Not sure how many but it was noticeable.Originally posted by UNIChippewa View PostMan, what a great, great win!

The only future worry I have, looking at individual players, is Kimmons being somewhat afraid to take the shot. It's not that he can't make 'em, he just doesn't take 'em. At some point teams are going to learn that and pack the paint against him. He doesn't need a Curry or Klay or a Trae Berhow type of night, he just needs to go like 2/7 or something from beyond the arc for one game. Just to force other teams to guard him a little closer, so he can blow by them. It's not a problem yet, but it might be soon. And we're in the awesome awesome position of "every game counts" now, so these things are gonna start to matter.Originally posted by UNIhoops View Posthttps://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId=401170618 Short video on the end of the game. I don't know that I'm so worried about it. He's so quick. The first possession when he came in, Wright guard him tight - and Kimmons blew past him. The next possession Wright backed off. Little things like that can change a game imo. With team we have, go ahead and pack the paint - I'm confident he can kick it to one of our shooters and get a good look.Originally posted by sevelev711 View Post
