Eh, when you get the hammer dropped on you like that at home, there are very few metrics that'll be kind to you, from NET to Kenpom to eye test.

            • Get to Sunday and we're in. I'm incredibly confident on that. The numbers are in our favor, we've got good wins, we're good.

Buuuuuuuut if we're going to play Sunday anyway and there's a chance to keep Porter out of the tournament, we might as well pick up some free t-shirts.

Rather play somebody that might take UNI lightly. WVU wouldn’t.

He also has Whichita st playing in, then against Iowa. Would I root for Skwaks or Shocks? That would be tough.

Exactly, the less familiar a team is with us the better.

The committee would probably avoid that rematch.

If we're in a 7-10 as the field currently sits, give me Marquette all day long.

                        • Hmm... 10 seed isn't in "safe" territory, but it's certainly in safe-r territory. Pencil me down for pleasantly surprised. Still better to remove all doubt and cut some fricking nets already.

                          • Our Drake win must have earned us some respect. We have 4 votes in the AP poll (39th) and a surprising 19 votes in the Coaches poll (30th).

                            • Was looking at NET vs. good ol’ RPI today.

                              RPI
                              UNI 19
B1G teams ahead of UNI 1 (next closest is at 32)

                              NET
                              UNI 37
B1G teams ahead of UNI: 10

Weird, I wonder why they switched to NET?!?

This is truly remarkable. The fact that anyone or anything could think there are 10 B1G teams better than UNI is laughable. But the fact that they'll actually use it to make tournament selections makes me wanna
