Down to a 10 seed against Michigan in Cleveland (I have been there, it does not rock as much as people would have you believe) in Lunardi's latest bracket. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-bas...l/bracketology

Ditto. I'll watch, but confidence of us getting in won't be too high.Originally posted by DownGoesKansas View Post
I'm confident if we win out the regular season. If not I'll be $%^$^ bricks on selection Sunday and probably wont watch. To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

If we're 26-5 with a NET in the 30s by the time the MVC Championship game rolls around, I feel good about our chances. If we're not, well...Give us a yell, HO! The purple and the gold
Victory for U-N-I!
Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

Palm does too.Originally posted by CyCarp View PostLunardi still has us as an 11 seed in his update this morning - ahead of the play in games.
Will step in and say that Palm SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS at this.
Bracketville, who allegedly is the 'best' at this, would have us as the first team out if we didn't have the auto.
Again. All is not lost. Win the next 5 and the absolute worst case scenario is 3 NIT home games and having to make some P5s come here.

Not anymore. The first NIT seed line is determined by the NCAA Committee. UNC Greensboro, Illinois State, Valpo, Monmouth and St Bonaventure have all been one seeds in the last few years.Originally posted by achrist70 View PostWe won't be a 1 seed in the NIT they always give sub .500 teams from the top 6 conferences those seeds.

It feels like this board is really starting to move the goalposts on what a good season is for this year's squad. The only positive these last two losses may have brought is UNI is now likely an 11 or 12 seed at best, if they make the tournament. I'd prefer that seeding versus 7-10 and facing a 1 or 2 seed in the second round. Other than that, it is tough to spin the performances from the past two weeks into a positive.Originally posted by BCPanther View Post

I don't think anybody would be thrilled to go to the NIT. The goal is still the NCAA tourney, but the NIT is still better than what we've had the last 3 years. Win out to Sunday in St Louis, and get a couple home NIT games as the worst case scenario? That's still a decent consolation prize - the home games could cure the bubble bursted blues. Heck, I think we'd really have a legit shot at winning it. With that said, gimme an 11 seed and let's make some noise in the big dance. To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

This season is already a good season from this group. We're a year ahead of schedule and if we can get into the tournament to get the experience, a lot like the 09 team.Originally posted by hoopfan View Post

The program is in great shape again.
