Good to see a Valley team beat Wichita St. Now if they play like this on Saturday, they're gonna get beat by 20.

Does this mean that the Valley gets 2 shares from Drake's appearance (one from tonight's game, and one from their first round game on Saturday), or is it set up that first four game winners only get one share total from both the "first four" game and the "first round" game?

Two shares, first four counts as "just a game" for shares purposes. Minimum possible shares for the MVC is now 3.Originally posted by vbfan19 View PostDoes this mean that the Valley gets 2 shares from Drake's appearance (one from tonight's game, and one from their first round game on Saturday), or is it set up that first four game winners only get one share total from both the "first four" game and the "first round" game?

The Shockers are tough defensively, but are offensively challenged. They didn’t give that game to Drake. They weren’t good enough to win it outright, and probably haven’t been all year.Originally posted by ceaser150 View PostWow, thought that shot was going in.
Shockers learn a valuable lesson tonight...Don't let a bad team hang around.
Yesufu is a future Valley POY. That kid is a stud.

Drake had 6 points the first 13+ minutes of the first half, and 5 points the first 8 and a half minutes of the second half. How Wichita couldn't capitalize on that is just... funny. To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

I don't disagree, when he found his game late season, he elevated the team even with injuriesOriginally posted by SteinPizza View PostYesufu is a future Valley POY. That kid is a stud.
Too bad he has to fight for POY against AJ and then possibly a veteran Bowen Born the following year, assuming he doesn't transfer to a big time program

Both teams play defense. That's a concept many that only watch the big conferences fail to grasp. It's why Iowa will struggle when they match against a team that does play defense, because Iowa can't win unless they just outscore somebody, they can't shut anyone down. Drake can. Loyola certainly can, though they have a rough draw as an 8.Originally posted by CyCarp View PostDrake had 6 points the first 13+ minutes of the first half, and 5 points the first 8 and a half minutes of the second half. MVC is 2-0, MWC is 0-2 and done, juuuuuust saying. Very good chance that the Valley is the 9th best performing conference, unit-wise, if only because I don't see Houston dropping to Rutgers, and I don't see Drake or Loyola winning again. But still dang impressive.Last edited by sevelev711; 03-20-2021, 01:33 AM.
