Not sure how UNI is going to compete for kids with other schools when it comes to NIL. The Panthers will have no chance against P6 teams and may be a struggle against other mid-majors. Where is the money going to come from?

This is my concern. Do we have a plan to start a NIL fund?Originally posted by uni1988 View PostNot sure how UNI is going to compete for kids with other schools when it comes to NIL. Damn, pretty much all the remnants from that 19-20 team is gone, Berhow, Pickford, Carter, Kimmons, Green, almost couldn't blame Phyfe if that semi factors into his decision. If he could even be 80% of what he was, though, he'd fill an incredibly important role/need.
Sad, but at least we got sort of the final season and some success out of it this year. It truly is a new era.

It's the new normal gone are the days of seldom used/middle of the road guys in the transfer market. It's all money and positioning for the pros, now.Originally posted by Username View PostDamn, pretty much all the remnants from that 19-20 team is gone, Berhow, Pickford, Carter, Kimmons, Green, almost couldn't blame Phyfe if that semi factors into his decision. I like AJ and would like to see him succeed. So I can stomach rooting for all of those except Duke. If it’s Duke, I’m not sure what to say…Originally posted by CyCarp View PostIowa State, BYU, Stanford, Wisconsin, Texas Tech, Memphis and Duke. Iowa State is maybe the 4th best option here.

Many of us on the board have criticized Coach Jake for being slow to adjust to change. I fear this will happen with NIL as well, right when our top two recruiters have left the program. Add to it the fact that our AD is seemingly unable to bring in sponsors. The perfect storm to ruin the program. Let's hope someone is creating a plan.

NIL shouldn't be Jake's problem but then again an outdoor practice field shouldn't have been Mark's problem so...Originally posted by orangetennis View PostMany of us on the board have criticized Coach Jake for being slow to adjust to change. At our level, I'm not sure NIL is AS big a deal. I think we need to kind of prepare ourselves for our best players checking out after 2 years. With the big boys taking more transfers, there's going to be more high level high school talent available but we may not hold on to it long term.
Double edge sword...

In response to Football Film Room seats being stuck in international port for six months is not true. The reason for delay on the football team room has been design issues and supply chain issues of other product.. The chairs are manufactured in Grand Rapids, MI and have been waiting for final design details. Would anticipate room being complete end of June-Mid July.

I feel like coaches will need more recruiting staff to keep up with the revolving doors. I have a mental image of our roster line up looking more like a randomly shuffled deck of cards from year to year.
The one thing you can say about Jake, and to a lesser degree Farley, is that people generally tend to stick around. ******* coaches are going to have significant issues keeping players around, even if they pay the NIL deals out of their own pockets. Is that allowed?

Heard Farley comment on a June 15th expected completion date for the team room recently. Maybe that's changed.Originally posted by 81PANTHERALUM View PostIn response to Football Film Room seats being stuck in international port for six months is not true. Yeah, I have thought the same in regard to roster turnover. Mid majors are going to look like what Illinois State for the past 8 years with 10 players out and 10 new ones in. I don't know if coaches can pay into an NIL fund. I would think not. I think that is left to sponsorship. Of course, the blue bloods have their way there.Originally posted by Trapped in California View PostI feel like coaches will need more recruiting staff to keep up with the revolving doors. Took my own tour of it on Saturday after the scrimmage. It has a roof, stepped floor, and walls. HVAC underneath. Otherwise full of construction crap. May be easy to do when they get back to work, but a mess right now.Originally posted by Blue42 View Post
