I hope Henry has developed his shooting an awful lot by that point if he is the main big. I also don't expect RJ to supplant Heise for a starting spot. I could see Tytan (if he's a legit 6'7") playing a smaller 5 role similar to Noah if we don't get some significant improvement from our bigger guys. I also think there is a high likelihood there will be a new body contributing at that position by next season.

There are a lot of unknowns with that group, but we should have a good idea of where we are at once games get rolling this season.

If Heise is still on the roster next year he is starting

Tytan would have to significantly improve his 3 pt shooting to be effective as a smaller 5man. The whole point of the small 5 is to draw the opposing big away from the basket. You need a quality shooter to do that.

I don't think Heise is anywhere near the scorer that Taylor brings to the table. He's a better defender, but Taylor would get the nod in my book with Heise the 6th man.

There is no chance Jake would send someone to the bench who at that point would be a 3 year starter and all conference caliber player. RJ would come off the bench year 1.

This is absolutely the worst take you've ever had and that's quite an accomplishment.

I love RJs game as much as anyone but I think he'll be more of a distributor at the college level with most of his points coming at the FT line with the occasional 3 pointer. Nate doesn't score in bunches but he contributes everywhere. He'll start as long as he's a Panther.
RJ is a true point guard whereas Nate is a 2/3 combo. They are not comparable players. RJ will learn under Bowen for a year before his minutes really increase. He is not a threat to Nate's court time in any fashion.

Nate is one of our best at driving and getting a himself shot. He tends (has tended) to miss that shot. Usually short. Another year stronger and I think this is a great year for him.

Nate was a big time scorer in high school. He excepted the role a a defensive player for UNI with AJ. He is one of our best all a players and you will see a big uplift in scoring from him this year. Taking the ball to the hoop and deep 3’a

The point I was making is we'll win the league in 23-24. Nate is a great player regardless of whether he starts or not.

My bigger concern would be Heise getting looks elsewhere with his solid build/athleticism, shooting, and defensive abilities basically fitting on any team if they wanted him.

I don't think there is anyone on the roster that would look to go elsewhere.

Not saying he would, I'm just saying if he has a pretty good season, he's going to be one who gets looks.

There is no scenario where we start Anderson and Duax at the 4 and 5.
Hmmmmm… interesting what 5 months brings. Not that they started - playing like that some.
